    Vans Alternative for Grown Ups

    I've used it several times
    True to size
    Size Bought
    5` 9"
    190 lbs

I've been wearing vans for 20 years and always loved them, but i came across Seavees several years back and gave them a try. I absolutely loved them. This is now my 6th pair of Seavees and my 3rd pair of Legends and I absolutely love them. The fit is a little more loose compared to vans, but has much more added comfort from the removable footbed and added arch support. I could wear these all day, whereas Vans will kill my feet by the end of a day of walking. The quality is slightly better than Vans. The slightly higher price is worth it and it's a must buy if you catch them at a discount. As far as sizing goes, it's true to size for me. I usually wear a 12 but I usually buy 1/2 size down in the similar Vans Authentic. The toe box is slightly narrower than the Vans Authentic, so unless you have a narrow foot, you will probably need a 1/2 larger in these in comparison to Vans.

    Nice alternative to Vans Authentics

    I've used it several times
    Runs small
    Size Bought
    220 lbs

I stumbled on SeaVees a few years ago, but hadn't picked up a pair until a few months ago. I have several pairs of Vans Authentics and these Legends are very similar in construction. The canvas feels substantial, the soles are comfortable, most importantly they don't leave any abrasions on my heal/ankle common to other shoes I've worn sockless. I did have to size up; I wear an 11 in Vans, but needed an 11.5 in the SeaVees because the front of my foot felt cramped. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a casual shoe that isn't made by Vans; and for the record, they can both live in your closet.
