Better call a doctor.

Better save up those "sick days," because this winter you're bound to catch the powder-hound flu, and the only cure is taking the Salomon Sick Stick Snowboard out for a cruise. Developed with extensive input from legendary freerider Josh Dirksen, the Sick Stick darts through freshly filled trees, slashes across wide open powder bowls, and sends stylish methods off every cliff in sight.

The Sick Stick is what Salomon calls a tapered twin, which sounds like an oxymoron, but it's actually an apt description, as the board is centered between the contact points for switch prowess in deep snow. To maintain buoyancy, this board features a slight taper (8-12mm, depending on size) which naturally sinks the tail, keeping the pointy nose up and floating over bottomless pow. Ultimately, this unique shape offers a freestyle approach to riding deep powder and cruising around the mountain, but ensures the extra float that's simply not possible on a traditional twin with equal nose and tail widths.

The Cross profile combines the powerful response of camber between the feet, with rocker at the tip and tail for extra float, plus a bit of catch-free fun for buttering. And although it's primarily intended for powder riding, the Sick Stick's camber makes it quite capable at ripping morning groomers and afternoon slush runs. Its ABC Wrapper construction replaces traditional ABS sidewalls with snappy bamboo and impact-damping cork for a smooth ride. The Ghost Green core is lightweight and poppy, thanks to its mix of premium wood strips and lightweight sustainable wood. Additionally, the quadratic sidecut makes the Sick Stick effortless from edge-to-edge while the Sintered EG base ensures a smooth, ultra-fast glide over deep powder.
