Like the original but with a boost, the POC Obex Spin Communication Helmet delivers comfort, confidence, and the easy ability to communicate with the squad while you're ripping around the resort. Built with the Obex AID Communication Ear Pads, you can talk to your friends with the press of a button, and it also delivers high quality sound if you decide to add some tunes to your runs.
The Obex Spin Communication Helmet utilizes POC's SPIN (Shearing Pad INside) technology to decrease the amount of force to your head during impact. It works by allowing the helmet to move relative to your head, allowing rotational movement that reduces the amount of energy that could otherwise continue through your skull.
Besides offering innovative impact protection, the Obex Spin is designed to be lightweight and fully featured for long days on the snow. It's easily adjustable so you don't have to add and remove padding to get a secure, comfortable fit, and the sliding top vent ensures you can let some warm air out when the day starts to heat up. POC also added front vents to let moist air out of your goggles, preventing the annoying ordeal of fogging just as you're dropping into fresh snow.

The helmet seems ok But the audio ear pads don?t fit well it won?t stay connected in the helmet. The signal drops out quite often when you pause your music. But It really does have good sound when it works. I am returning The helmet before using it on the mountain

Industry needs more BT connectivity
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- XL/XXL
My first bluetooth helmet was a RED (aka Anon/Burton) Frequency with a motorola BT unit circa 2005. The unit lasted around 200+ days of riding over 4 years before the BT stopped holding a charge for more than 2-3 hours. I just got this one in the mail today so we'll see if the POC can hold a candle to the Motorola. It's crazy to me that in 2021, this is the ONLY helmet offered with BT. It fits as well as any POC helmet; this is my 3rd POC. Bit too snug on the ears but it usually loosens up over time. Seems like any typical adjustable-circumference snowsports helmet. (Wish the industry would get on the level of hockey helmets). The goggle strap holder is nice because it's integrated, instead of some clip-on that falls off. The vent slider for the top is a little catchy/sticky but it works. The BT unit actually sounds surprisingly decent. Minimal distortion at full volume (plenty loud), not bass heavy so don't expect your head to reverberate. The sound stage is well balanced and will definitely leak out to your chair lift neighbors, but it's safer than using sound-isolating ear buds since you can hear everything around you still. For reference, I have several sets of enthusiast headphones, but nothing above the $500 range. Two notables; if you cover the earpad/speakers, the bass disappears. (jacket hood might affect this). Also, the top/center panel is matte white, while the rest of the helmet is glossy. This isn't really depicted online. The only reason I'd give this a 4-star instead of 5, is that my 2005 helmet had rotating knobs to control volume, track/skip, call//hang-up etc. Seems weird they didn't add basic button controls. This helmet literally only has one button for power/pause, so you can't change volume/track. The lack of this makes it a bit pricey feature wise at full retail msrp.
