Almost Perfect.

I have a men's version of this that's 5 stars. Got this for my wife and we were disappointed to see it doesn't have hand pockets??? Not sure if that's just a new version, or gender specific.

Great ultralight jacket

I will admit that I haven't used this in a downpour. But so far I really like it as an ultralight windbreaker/ light rain jacket while climbing, hiking, and biking. I wore it once while on a motorcycle ride in 45 degree weather with a long sleeve shirt underneath and it blocked all the wind and I was actually a bit too warm by the end. So it is superior at blocking wind and it definitely keeps me dry in light rain. Typically I wouldn't be out climbing if there is going to be a downpour, but as someone who likes to be prepared for all situations, this is a great jacket because it packs down incredibly small and is so lightweight that I forget I am carrying it. I will test it out at the Voo next summer to see how it holds up in real rain :)

Highly packable

I really like this jacket! I haven't been caught out in a storm since I"ve owned it, but it's super light and packable and I love being able to just toss it in my bag no matter what

I feel confident knowing I have this in my pack!

This is a nice very lightweight rain layer. I got a size up and glad I did. Fits over many layers, yet doesn't look too big.

Best Lightweight Rain Protection

I am 5'7" 140 lbs. and bought the women's medium to layer over a down sweater. I already had the size small I use over a tight base layer for running but wanted one larger size to use as a rain layer over insulation. The hood is a great shelter that fits and stays put, the arm and body length are the right balance of coverage and allow mobility, and the one pocket fits my phone. This is an outstanding jacket that effectively blocks rain but fits into it's own pocket or a riding jersey pocket when not in use.

lighten the load

I picked this up to lighten my backpacking load, I also use it for a wind shell. I love the Garnet color, and I'm really pleased with the fit and quality. Always great product from OR.

Great product for backpacking

This jacket is great. Very light and thin, so I wouldn't advise bushwhacking with it. I used it in light rain and it kept me dry. I expect it wouldn't hold up well through long heavy rains.

Perfect jacket for trail running

Perfect layer for trail running. I hate running In the rain, but I hate running with a heavy jacket more. This is perfect. Lightweight, pack able, and waterproof enough. When running you'll always get wet either from sweat or the clouds so this is a good compromise to keep the rain off when it's really coming down. The Turmeric Color is also really good for visibility. It's nearly reflective just because of the Color which is good where I run especially when it's getting close to dark. Fit is great. I have wide shoulders, 5'9", 140lbs and the Large fits perfect. I don't like rain jackets tight on my skin so the large is a good balance of not being too big but not suffocating me.

Nearly perfect.

Almost perfect. Very lightweight, and a great color. However, during a 7 hour deluge, I did end up getting wet through the jacket. I wish it was slightly longer as well, because my fleece underneath was slightly longer and ended up getting soaked from the bottom.
