The Alti Glove already has a reputation for standing up to brutal alpine conditions, but this season, these bombproof expedition gloves got a big boost in ergonomics. Outdoor research has a die-hard mission to create something that's innovative and actually works, and its all-new 3DFit Technology is no exception. Rather than translating a two-dimensional design into a three-dimensional glove, Outdoor Research used a process of draping fabrics on three-dimensional molds of the human hand in different positions to create a dramatically different glove shape that minimizes bulk and maximizes dexterity. The result is better handling and grip of ski poles, ropes, or ice axes.
Built with the ever-trustworthy protection of GORE-TEX and an even heartier dose of PrimaLoft insulation than years before, this ski-mountaineering glove provides excellent warmth, waterproofing, and breathability without sacrificing tactile ability. And while these gloves are geared towards technical objectives, that doesn't mean they lack a few more luxurious details, like the soft nose-wipe thumb and removable, touchscreen-compatible liner with silicone grip palm.

Warmest gloves I've found
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third pair of alto gloves. Warmest glove I've found. I wish you could get them without the gauntlets but these keep my hands warm to single digits...below that I'm an Alti-mitt guy.

Super warm
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very warm gloves, I actually don't think they'll be good above 20F they're so warm. Great for high altitude mtn expeditions, haven't shredded them yet. My hand measurements resulted in a great fit according to their sizing chart, so that was nice too. Absolutely would recommend if warmth over dexterity is an ok trade off.

Amazing Gloves Backed by a Better Company
The gloves are great. I use both the Alti Glove and Mitt. Unfortunately, last winter I must have misplaced the liners to my gloves, and they got left on the mountain. I emailed them to purchase a new pair of liners, but to my luck they don't have any Glove Replacement Liners in stock. Abby from Outdoor Research offered for me to purchase a pair of gloves that would work as a suitable replacement, while at the same time they are going to send me a set of replacement liners for my Alti Mitts. You know, just in case I lose those. OR is great to work with and they stand by their warranty even for dopes like me.

Great gloves
I was issued these in the Army so knew I wanted them. They don't disappoint.

These a very good gloves. I've owned 2 pair because I have yet to find gloves with fingers (not mitts) that are this heavy (warm). They're also fairly nimble and the inner liner makes it easier to slip the heavy outer shell off if something needs a touch more dexterity. The only real 'issue' I have is how tight the inner liner fits the shell, specifically on the pinky and ring fingers. It's for a reason, to keep as little potential air exposure as low as possible, but just an extra millimeter on the diameter to the shell side would help a lot. (Or I just have fat fingers... that's a possibility as well...)

Warm, dynamic, bomber
Just finished up using these on a mountaineering trip in the Sierras in January; super warm, dry well in the sleeping bag at night, and good liners. Cinch strap and leash make it easy to keep on your hands. Seems good in weather up to -10 F provided you are moving your body with some regularity. Great purchase!

Great Glove For The Pro Price.
Used in -35c, hands stayed toasty warm. Would absolutely recommend. The Alti gloves though, the ones with no fingers are even better.

Very very warm with dexterity.
Have used these for a few years now. Took them up to 6000 meters. As cold as -26. Hand enough dexterity to pull and rack ice screws while wearing them, although they are a bit bulky.

Warm and comfortable
I'm on my second set of Alti gloves. They have a super nice fit and good warmth. The only complaint I have is that the liners they come with are pretty useless. My hands are too big for the gloves with them but I find they are plenty warm for my climate (up to minus 10 generally). Overall I would buy again. These are my go to winter gloves on the ski hill or snow shoeing.
