Excellent Bags for the Backcountry
I've used the 3L, 6L, 12L and 20L bags in a wide variery of outdoor situations and love them. A perfect balance of lightweight and durability. Kept my sensitive backpacking gear dry in relentless Scottish rains on the West Highland Way. If you are considering this bag for a watersport like kayaking or diving - look elsewhere as these are built to protect from weather not aquatics.

Not W.P. in heavy rain contrary to A Howard's Bad Reviewers
Like A Howard from Washington mentioned, the stuff sack is meant for being inside a backpack or other storage. Unlike what he implied, it can get wet from rain alone. While doing the GA to SMNP section of the A.T. I used two of these sack in the 20L size. One for clothing/bedding and the other for food. The roll top and buckle are very convenient for a carabiner or simply tying the hang rope. While I stayed inside the shelter, there was a night of heavy rain that soaked thru the food bag. As the individual meals were bagged as well, it was not big deal tho it was disappointing. Had that been bedding and/or clothing... I am currently planning to thru-hike the entire A.T. come March 2023 and I am considering replacing one of the stuff sacks with a Sea To Summit Lightweight Dry Sack that is rated at 10,000 mm hydrostatic head. Until I hear back from Osprey on their rating, I'm guessing that it is similar to Sea To Summit's Ultra Sil Dry Sack (30D and 2,000mm). Osprey is using 40D material so it may be a little higher rating but very unlikely that it's 10,000mm. I like the weight and have never had anything get wet while it was in my backpack so I'm giving it 4 stars as you can't do fractions. If I could, I'd go with 3 1/2 or 3 3/4. It's a good sack if used carefully but heavy rain should not soak thru. Know what you're getting before using it. If it HAS to stay dry as a safety concern, reconsider.

Awesome Bag!
I use the 3L for my emergency kit that I transfer between my backpack and my kayak. I love that it is already packed and all I have to do is grab it. I use the 6L for my food bag and absolute game changer! I bought each bag in a different color so I can see right away which one I need. So handy and the roll top means you can make these as small you need for the situation. Love them!

Bad reviewers didn't read the discription/understand product
I came back to purchase a larger one for an upcoming trip and was shocked at the reviews, so I'm writing my own. Even in the product name, it says ""Not Submersible"" so I'm not sure where the idea that they were appropriate for use as a kayak or raft dry bag. Perhaps you could put it inside a dry bag. No, sacks like this are not supposed to be used for strapping your gear to the front of the boat! A dry sack is meant to be protective inside another backpack or container. It won't float, nor should you intentionally dunk it in water and expect your goods to be dry. There are products out there for that purpose. In the future, I would remind buyers to read the description completely as to not rant, and mislead a customer. I'm perfectly happy with mine, but would never submerge them. I would also suggest that Osprey sift through such strongly critical reviews from people misusing the product because they affect sales in the future.

Not waterproof only resistant! Change labeling!!!
Extremely disappointed. Your labeling on boxes HAS to change!! Was not submerged but did get pretty wet tubing down river and ruined speaker. Also trying would be helpful to have some type of carrying strap because most outdoor activities require carrying multiple things...however I'd fix the whole waterproof scam first. This is absolutely NOT waterproof and packaging is extremely misleading. Would have spent more on something different to protect belongings.
