Why We Like The Nidecker Supermatic Step-In Snowboard Binding

We know that strapless step-in binding technology can get convoluted with boot gaiters and deep snow getting in the way of a secure connection. Nidecker opted for rear-entry tech in their Supermatic Step-In Snowboard Binding, offering the convenience of a strapless binding without the unreliability. The Asym Hardon-Matic highback uses triggered Drop-In tech leans back to let our boot slip inside, and it engages with a step down on the binding's heel pedal. An easy-release lever and snow-resistant plate make entrance and exit as simple as can be.

LOVE THESE THINGS

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
XL

I'm a Snowboarding Dad in a family of Skiers so I'm sure we all know what the top of the lift is like. Kids screaming telling me it's time to go while I used to strap in. Now with the new bindings here, I just place my foot in and off I go. I did have to get a new pair of boots because my older boots just couldn't stand the pressure of the back hinge that clamps you in and took me a bit to get used to the step but they've been great!

Spent $400 for a used one(photos), I guess I am getting a returned unit. Since there is no more L size available, I have to keep this used one.

These are the best bindings I have ever had. Have only used them one day, and had no problems. Easy in and easy out. Way faster and better than other rear entry bindings that I have owned, Read the sizing chart prior to ordering. I didn’t and should have ordered large, the mediums work fine, but are close to the limit. I recommend this product.

Works pretty well, a bit getting use too. Still faster than straps, 3 to 5 times will click in properly.
