    Like a boss.

When you're dead set on dawn patrolling before the work bell tolls, reach for the Mountain Equipment Men's Mission Jacket to provide steadfast protection as you truck up the skin track. Designed specifically for fast-and-quick, wintry pursuits, the Mission Jacket features a stretchy and tough Exolite 275 softshell fabric that's not only pliable, but highly breathable, making it ideal for adventures such as backcountry touring. Additionally, the Mission boasts an articulated constructions that offers unimpeded mobility, which is awfully convenient when you're post-holing or attempting to navigate your ascent quickly. And should you begin to warm up (something that most likely occurs to any and everyone who is conducting an aerobic activity), the zippered underarm ventilation system offers on-the-go temperature regulation, so you never have to stop to take off your jacket. Not to mention, the hood, hem, and cuffs are all fully adjustable to provide a personalized and fine-tuned fit.

    Solid, No-Frill piece. Love it

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XL

So I've ben on the hunt for a soft-shell ski shell do it all that was not a "climbing" shell... meaning not cut so tight that I felt like I was wearing a fitted piece for some time. Plus I'm not 25 years old and 5% body fat :-p I like a little room, enough to layer, enough to not feel like its 'fitted'

Well I tried the high end; Norrona, Arc, etc... I own a Marmot piece thats over built and I never use and I have a Patagonia soft shell that is under built... and more of a windbreaker w/o hood...

I can't tell you how happy I am with this... plus its relatively cheap... which makes it soon much better. I tend to use things more when I don't care about them... or rather replacement cost...

Its a simple Jacket. I'd call it a mid-weight softshell. Perfect for Spring skiing, Dawn patrol tours pre-work, walking the dog, chilly walks on the beach, Watching your kids swim laps or shoulder season canyoneering trips. The hood is great, pit zips big, two way zipper (big plus). Hood has a funky strap to let you roll it up and keep it rolled up which is not the more incredibly design but other than that its great.

It will live in my car... and be a everyday piece. Layered with R1 or a Nano-air under it I imagine it to be near invincible.

Plus :-) .... for well under $150 on sales... who cares! Its awesome.

Oh... I feel it runs small... I would normally buy a large and I needed an XL in this.
