Why We Like The Merrell Nova 3 Mid GTX Hiking Boot
Merrell's best-selling trail running shoe for men now comes in an over-the-ankle hiker version, the Nova 3 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot. More of a hybrid sneaker-hiker than a traditional hiking boot, the Nova has a light-duty build for fast hikes, urban hikes, and everyday wear. There's a waterproof bootie for protection if things get soggy or snowy and a Vibram rubber outsole to make sure we don't slip on the trail or the urban jungle as we're out hiking, walking the dog, or wandering out and about. It's a lightweight alternative for those who prefer a more sneaker-like look and feel to a sturdy hiking and backpacking boot.

Best light boots ever
Best light hiking boots I’ve ever wore. They fit me perfectly, maybe a little wide but I had thick sox and that made the trick. It was like hiking on clouds! Highly recommend them

Comfy, but warm and noisy
Just like the title says... I'll use them in the winter

Blue Ridge hiking
Hiked the Black Mountain area in the Appalachia. Linville Falls, Mount Mitchell State Park, Roaring Fork Falls...my Merrell's were awsome.

Comfortable but not durable
I bought these in December 23 but haven’t used them much. I have less than 50 miles on them and they already lost their waterproofing. The IOP mesh also tears too easily. I hate it because they are so comfortable and my feet don’t get tired, but they are too expensive for this. This is my 4th pair of Novas (3 se low tops) and they have the same issues. The sole delaminates and the cleats rip off too easily. Unfortunately, I think I’m finally going to have to move on

Perfect light weight hiker/ Disc Golf
Great lightweight, use it for disc golfing. Works well on paved or artificial turf tee pads.

Great Sierra shoes
Nice and light. No break-in time. A little light for heavily rocky trails but overall excellent! 4.5/5. Hiked 30 miles in 5 days in the high Sierra Nevada ~ 10,000’ with brand new boots.

Great Support!
I love these shoes. After previously having the Rainbow Nova’s for a number of years, I wanted something with a little more support. And I got it! These are great in any condition, every setting, and my feet are completely dry and don’t stink. I wear them camping, hiking, around the city, and also around the house. Overall a great shoe. Only recommendation I would have is make this a full boot!

Good bang for your buck
Not a bad shoe so far. Havent done anything too technical or in bad weather yet but so far it’s been comfortable for that 5-10mile range.
