Why We Like The Mammut Kento Tour High GTX Mountaineering Boot
When hiking up demanding mountain terrain, we're thankful for the support of Mammut's Kento Tour High GTX Mountaineering Boot. The reinforced yet flexible frame helps keep our ankles from buckling, while the memory foam padding hugs our feet for added support and minimizes hot spots to prevent bruises and blisters. Trudging through snowy sections don't have us reaching for fresh socks thanks to the GORE-TEX membrane shutting out the wet without suffocating our feet.

fantastic summer alpine boot but missing semi auto crampon compatibility
++Excellent water resistance ++Lightweight design +Outstanding grip +Sufficient flexibility for B1 --Lacks a rear heel welt for compatibility with semi-automatic crampons which I had assumed when making the purchase

Very comfortable. I use them for snowmaking. Not a very warm boot. The leather does get wet but feet stay dry. Very supportive and light weight.

Continued great quality from Mammut
Mammut has become the only boot I buy. Good out of the box comfort. Nice stiff boot while comfortable enough for everyday use.

These are great boots. On my third pair of them. I use them for work, hunting and backpacking so they get a ton of use in all kinds of conditions.

Comfortable. No blisters with Darn Tough socks on my Himalaya trek. Lukla-> Namche-> EBC -> Kalapathar -> Gokyo Ri -> Namche -> Lukla +Kathmandu Sometimes wear them casually, I'm Coloradan. Theyre kinda stiff but with the DT socks I enjoy feeling "prepared". \m/

They need some break in time
I like the sturdiness of the boots, but they'll need some break in time as they're not ad maliable as other softer sole boots are. These were purchased for hiking in the mountains up rugged, uneven, often sharp surfaces so I'm liking them.

Kento Tour High GTX review
I read to order a half size larger than one would typically wear, so I ordered a US11 and the fit is bang on. Light weight, low profile, and feels "accurate". I use them for hiking, chainsaw work, and rope rescue. I've used similar Scarpa and La Sportiva boots for the same applications, these are lighter weight and so far I've found no weaknesses. Would recommend.

Super supportive
Used as a general purpose winter boot. Don't buy if you're looking for a hiking boot. Very warm (10ºF), stiff and supportive. Love the heel cup and high traction sole. Lacing with multiple hooks is nice. Unfortunately, fits very large. I ordered the same size as my Mammut hiking boots but I probably could have gone down a whole size. Not sure if this is intentional to accommodate multiple pairs of socks, but you probably don't need them since the boots are so warm!
