I bought my first pair of Lowa's four years ago back in 2013 and have been rocking that same pair of lowa zephyrs these past years. Ive used them on week long backpacking trips in the high Uintas a couple times a year, desert trips down to Moab, as well as hiking peaks like Mt. Olypus, Lone Peak, and Mt. Timp. I have never gotten blisters in these boots as the fit was perfectly snug around my heel yet gives me room for my toes to spread while I hike. The gortex liner always kept my feet dry when hiking through small streams and muddy puddles, about a year ago I noticed they didnt hold up so well to water but thats after 3 uears of extensive use. They are currently filled with holes in the leather on the back of the heal from use and some on the side of the boots from abrasions against terrain. The soles of the boots are surprisingly still in a condition that they seem like they couls last for a lot longer. Overall I would give this boot 5 stars for its comfort, preformance, and how long they have lasted. Their are stiffer boots that I am going to try out to replace these ones, but would definetly buy another pair again!

Originally I purchased a pair of Merrill GTX Moab Mid hiking boots as I have been buying Merrill snow boots for years now and loved every pair. Though Merrill's snow boot game is strong the moab hiking boot was terrible. For 150$ i expect a quality boot; I took it on one hike and the material already looked like it was starting to peel off the toe. Overall those boots just weren't durable or comfortable. However, the fine folks here at backcountry were more than accommodating and they took in my return and gave me credit and I bought these Zephyrs! Love these boots very durable and comfortable. they fit true to size unlike most Merrill boots which i find fit a half size smaller. The grip on these boots are well suited for rocky and loose terrain and the GTX lining is great at keeping your feet dry. I really like the grey/green color as well. My favorite part about these boots is the way they lace up one good tug on both laces and youve got a really nice snug fit. Honestly ive never heard of LOWA before this purchase and was skeptical but after buying and testing this product im on the band wagon for sure!
