Cygnus X1 BTX Snowboard

Each and every Cygnus X1 is handmade by Lib Tech founder and head developer Mike Olson, from the finest materials currently available in our galaxy (and possibly other galaxies, too). The Cygnus utilizes futuristic components like lighter-than-carbon Vectran rods, self-healing sidewalls, and a space-age laminate of magnesium oxide strands that are twice as strong as traditional fiberglass.

The BTX Enhanced Banana profile features a magical blend of rocker between the bindings and camber outside the bindings for incredible float in powder, catch-free buttering on hardpack, and response and stability at high speeds. Magne-Traction edges are serrated to slice through ice likes it's fresh corduroy, so you can carve up icy slopes with ease.

Magnesium Oxide Strands replace fiberglass to not only make the board stronger, but more environmentally-friendly too. Z-Axis Air Polymer is a space age polymer engineered to be stronger in one direction than the other so you get a unique flex pattern like you've never experienced before. Vectran Torsion Rods channel energy to the tips for a powerful, responsive ride, plus they're 26% lighter than carbon. Self-healing biopolymer sidewalls repair themselves when you ding them up, and they're made from renewable resources (did we mention they glow in the dark?). Super-lightweight wood from a secret blend of sustainably-harvested trees give the core a light and lively feel, and the Bio Beans bio-plastic topsheet is made from castor beans to reduce toxic plastics.
