Great Lightweight Hiking boot
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Truth be told, I haven't had the chance to take these to the great outdoors quite yet but I've been wearing them around the office all day and have some impressions to share.
First off, it's a miracle these fit on my wide feet compared to the approach shoes from sportiva I've tried in the past. These shoes have no such problem! I typically wear a size 9 hiking boot and the 9's fit great in this model.
I will say the arch is a little high for me in these shoes for my mid-to-flat arch and would be better suited for someone with high arches OR someone who tends to over pronate.
I think these shoes would be be a great choice for a through hiker who wants to go lightweight but still have some ankle support. They're definitely not as stiff as a standard pair of leather, burly hiking boots but if you're looking to reduce weight/fatigue on trail these are the boots to go with.
Unbelievable lightweight boot
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
Lightweight, great traction, incredibly breathable and waterproof. These are the best light duty hiking boots I have ever worn. I would describe them as more of a shoe/boot hybrid. You can hike like a goat, and if need be, run as well. My feet are so happy! -as reviewed by my girlfriend
