    Use it everyday

Every morning I wake up and get my cup of Joe ready with this little guy. It's super convenient and so easy to use. I know I'll continue to use it everyday especially in the Backcountry!

      Coffeeee

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is a great camping option for freshly ground coffee. I love that you can adjust the coarseness. I picked this up to use with my percolator since it requires some more coarsely ground beans. After a couple minutes of trial and error, I got this dialed in and it is perfect. Freshly ground beans for the win!

      Fresh coffee!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

There are several ways to make camp coffee but none compare to fresh ground pour over brew. I read mixed reviews on the durability of the GSI grinder but took a chance the last time it was on sale. Not disappointed!

So easy to adjust the grind and it does not take much effort to grind enough beans for 20 oz of great coffee! I can’t comment yet on durability but it seems to be well-designed and sturdy.

Let’s be honest, I don’t get to camp as much as I like so will gear test it at the office! If you want great coffee wherever you are, try this GSI grinder. Add a brewer, a filter, some hot water, and your favorite mug and you are all set!

      Perfect everywhere!

I have been waiting for this to arrived back in stock! Most amazing little tool ever! Packs up super small and then fits together to have freshly ground coffee anywhere. I used this staying in a friend’s campervan and had to add it to my travel rig. Only power needed - you!

        Friend for Life

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought it as a going away gift for a friend who was headed into the mountains for a job for the Forest Service that required him to be gone a month at a time. He used it every day--fresh brew each and every morning. Upon his return from a summer and fall in the Sawtooth and Wasatch mountains, he continues to use it even at home. Only takes a minute to grind. Fine tune how coarse or fine you prefer; the handle removes and changes position for packability. He's still raving about this one. The simplicity and ease of use gives this 5 Stars.

Who needs PEDs when you have PEC?

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

There are basically two things that the true cyclist is never that far away from ... coffee, and beer. This is about the former. It's no secret that most really good road races are out in the middle of nowhere, rural areas where there isn't much traffic, because it's a whole lot easier to get permits to hold the race.

It's also no secret that towns in the middle of nowhere rarely have a place to get a really good cup of coffee; certainly most motels don't have good coffee, especially not in the little one-packs they have the rooms.

This is where the GSI Java Mill comes in handy ... take your beans with you, set your desired coarseness in the mill, and have fresh ground coffee just waiting to be brewed. Perfect for an Aeropress, a small French press, or even the tried and true plastic cone and a #2 filter pour over.

Also great for the office, when you're tired of the weak brew that everyone seems to make in the Bunn Commercial Coffee maker, found in roadside diners and corporate break rooms everywhere. Non-powered so it's quiet.

Make your teammates jealous, and better yet, give your opponents a reason to fear you, because you've had a good cup of coffee, while they've had to deal with crappy motel coffee. c

        perfect for our van

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

We are always looking for gadgets we can have in our Sprinter to make it feel like home with out getting to crowded with junk. Obviously coffee is a must have while on the road (and off the road) but hauling a coffee grinder with us takes up so much room and power. This is the perfect solution and takes up hardly any space. Thank you GSI! Works well and grinds nice grounds for our french press.

Im not a coffee snob, but

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm not a coffee snob, but this is a must have for camping. The ability to adjust the coarseness is awesome. It has held up well to moderate use and still cranks easily.

        A MUST HAVE!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I recently acquired an old 1992 camper. When camping at a crag, quality coffee is a must. If you're like me and enjoy quality coffee when camping, this is a must have. It works very well and doesn't take too long to grind enough for a couple people. You have the ability to adjust the coarseness of the coffee, so it can be used for multiple types of brewing. Highly recommended.

        For the Outdoorsy Coffee Nerd

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm pretty happy with this. It's got adjustable ceramic burrs that put out a pretty consistent medium-coarse pourover grind (I haven't tried it for espresso yet). It cranks well and seems pretty durable. Quit drinking that awful instant camp coffee and treat yourself to some freshly ground goodness!

        Grind it up

Great to be able to adjust the coarseness of your bean grinding.

You can achieve finily ground espresso quality java or rough and tumble, coarse grounds for good old fashioned cowboy coffee.

A bit small to grind large batches of coffee, this works well for 1-2 people, but you wouldn't want to be grinding the entire group's beans as I was - whew! Workout!

Turning action is smooth, and results are delicious.
