Why We Like The Goal Zero Yeti 3000X Portable Power Station

As the largest battery in Goal Zero's Lithium line of backup power stations, the Yeti 3000X 110V Power Station V2 provides an incredible amount of power when the neighborhood's power goes down, as well as providing ample juice for car camp outings and portable parties far off the grid. Best of all, it's free of the noisy, polluting ways of traditional gasoline-powered generators, as well as being portable with the included mobile kit featuring wheels and a telescoping handle. This way, you can bring it with you to outdoor events and festive functions without throwing out your back lugging it around outdoors.

The Yeti 3000X features a 2000W AC inverter that powers a wide range of appliances and household items, ranging from full-size refrigerators to power tools in the garage. The larger 3,032Wh capacity provides enough juice to power a 42-inch LCD TV for 31 hours, a mini fridge for 87 hours, as well as charge a laptop 61 times, tablet over 100 times, or smartphone over 250 times. It works extremely well for sound systems and portable speakers, in case you're trying to bring the party off-grid, as well as other electronics and household necessities when a storm blows out the local grid overnight.

To power the Yeti 3000X, simply plug it into two wall outlets to gain a full charge in approximately 14 hours. For storage convenience, the Yeti 3000 is capable of being stored up to three months without hurting its ability to hold a charge. Goal Zero recommends periodically plugging it between uses to avoid it from going dead or compromising future power capabilities. Additionally, you can harness power from Goal Zero's popular solar panels to slowly build up a charge. The Yeti 3000X will be fully juiced after 34 to 68 hours of charging with a Boulder 100 solar panel or just 17 to 34 hours of charging with a larger Boulder 200 Briefcase, depending on the conditions and sunlight intensity. Goal Zero recommends you stay away from 12V vehicle power sources, as this may damage your vehicle or Yeti 3000X Power Station.

Please note, the Yeti 3000X Power Station comes with a charging adapter for the use with two wall outlets simultaneously, as well as a mobile carrying kit with wheels and telescoping handle.

Finally put to real test Hurricane Beryl 2024

Bought 3000X 3 years ago. Has kept internet running and things charged during minor power outages. We bought with intention of keeping internet and fridge running during Hurricanes. It worked perfectly this year, although Xfinity problems kept the internet from working, not power to our router. Also, BTW I figured out how to extend fridge support to 72 hours. I suggest getting digital freezer & fridge thermometer so you can track the temperatures. When power goes out, have no power to fridge for 3 hours (don't open it). Starting temps: Freezer=-3, Fridge=40. After 3 hours temps: Freezer=14, Fridge=43. Then, plug fridge into Yeti 3000X for 1 hour and get everything you need out of fridge (I preferred at start of hour). After 1 hour of power: Freezer=-3, Fridge=41. Repeat the 3 hours of no power/don't open fridge and then the 1 hour of power/open fridge. My fridge uses approximately 136 w per hour, not counting the jump to 160/180 when starting up. I figured out that if I ran the fridge with continuous power I would get 22 hours from the 3000X. If I run the 1 hour on/3 hour off, I get 72 hours. These calculations are roughly an estimate. I only lost power for 14 hours total, but I kept track of times and fridge temperatures. I didn't have to throw away any food and the popsicles were only slightly not as rock-hard as usual. BTW I did get a 300w suitcase solar panel (forget which one) that I was going to connect the next day. I think when I tested it, it pulled in about 250w per hour. So, if we had no power the next day and I could add up to 250w per hour for 6 hours..... my brain hurts but I would have been able to run the fridge and probably some fans for a lot longer than 72 hours. Anyway, that's my story and I'm really glad I got the 3000X. My brothers frozen steaks are still in my freezer because his power is still out - saved him from throwing out a lot of money!

I don't know where to start

I bought this a little while ago and have utilized it fully. Had to buy and adapter to plug in more than one solar array but thats not a complaint . I'm sure I will figure out what I can use for camping(coffee espressomaker perhaps) that I didn't try on the maiden camping trip which was 4 an a half days. This thing powered my go sun chillest cooler for over a week. Runs my skilsaw, cordless battery chargers, and with 4 hours or so on 400watts of solar was charged. Love this thing. I wasn't paid or compensated for this review so I love this for real. Fairly heavy but very strong cart with wheels that are durable. Don't see the need for wifi or Bluetooth connection yet, seems a little over the top but hey this is more than could use in 4 days.so I'm extremely happy with this for off grid ca,ping and will get plenty of use out of it for years to come. Thanks goal zero

Powers everything and charges. Random resets?

I bought this to be able to run my computer and StarLink at an off grid location. Been testing before going on-site. I get random reboots/resets? Basically it beeps, stops providing power and then starts again. This will kill my internet every time. Now looking into other options and will keep this as a backup.

We Power Our Off-grid Home with 3 Yetis

We use two 1500s and one 3000. We even have our very efficient fridge plugged into one and our Starlink WiFi. We don’t keep WiFi on when we leave the house or aren’t using it. In the winter due to many cloudy days we unplug the fridge and turn it into an ice chest. Would be nice to be about to charge multiple batteries to one solar bank. As it is we plug one battery into the other to charge them both. It would be nice to have a solar charging cord that is 70 feet.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet

I wish the storage compartment on top was big enough to fit the 120v charger or any additional cables

Love it!

I had a 1500x and loved it...... this 3000x is fantastic and really eases the stress of traveling in our van. I don't worry about our 12v fridge ever losing power with this bad boy!

Doesn’t work when cold

Bought a 3000x and 2 bolder 200 brief cases. Set up in my enclosed work trailer for portable power on the jobsite. Overall very disappointed in the performance and abilities. All winter long it’s useless and just says it’s too cold to be used. My trailer is spray foamed and protected from all weather. I would not have bought this knowing how little use I can get out of it. I now have to go back to a gas generator for reliable power on the job.

I'm loving my Yeti 3000x

So far everything is going great with my Yeti. I'm using it for my Christmas lights and look forward to having no electricity bill increase in December for the first time.
