    Wide-open spaces.

For the large-footed among us, fitting into a cramped cycling shoe is an experience not soon forgotten. The Giro Privateer R HV Cycling Shoe literally expands on the impressive features of the Privateer R and gives you room to move and pedal in luxurious comfort. The main cabin accommodates a large instep and wide feet atop a co-molded nylon and rubber outsole, which gives all-day freedom, durability, and grip off-road. Easily mount your favorite 2-bolt cleat and optional toe spikes, and enjoy bashing your legs and trails instead of your feet.

    Climbs like a dream

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought these to replace my Giro Chambers on the uphill. These are nice stiff shoes that are still comfortable for a full days riding. Have significantly improved my uphill climbing from the Chambers. They are wide enough for my wide foot as well.

    Comfy and Tough

These shoes have been great. Some of the all day trails I do require some hiking, I've blown out Scott and Shimano shoes within a few months. These things are barely showing signs of wear after two great seasonas of plenty of riding.
    I would highly recommend.

    Say bye to skinny shoes

So. Much. Room. After stuffing my feet into stiff but underbuilt race shoes for my entire life, it was time to upgrade to a shoe that could handle long days in the mountains with hot feet. These shoes still offer a stiff sole and a cross country look but are so comfortable I never have to adjust buckles, velcro etc. This shoe checks all the boxes and doesn’t show signs of stopping.
