Terrible pockets
The hand pockets on these trousers are terrible, and my wallet, keys etc kept falling out of them. I got the trousers altered so the pockets were like the ones on my vidda pro trousers and the are now much better. It's a pity Fjallraven didn't design them like that to begin with. Other than that they are good trousers, albeit somewhat susceptible to abrasion.

Also struggling with the fit
I love the Fjallraven products, especially their G1000 products. But the sizing is too generic, as mentioned already by others. A true 33size person will struggle with the options. The alternative zip-off stretch G1000 trousers are the Keb Gaiter with a slightly different fit but these now only come in long versions. Hopefully Fjallraven will extend their size & length options in the near future

Nice but I struggle with fit
If you’re a true 33 waist you may struggle to find the right fit. The only offerings are a 32 or 33/34. I’ve tried both and I decided to go with the 33/34 because the 32 was a little too restrictive. Unfortunately, the 33/34 feels closer to a 34 and I’m always in need of adjustments as wear these. I wish there was some way to take in the waist in - draw string - velcro - snaps - something! Love the style and functionality (pockets/loops/leg zip on/off) - but at this price point I wish they were offered a true 33 inch waist or some form of adjustment .

The hand pockets, uselessly shallow, and not zipped. Otherwise I really like them.
My prime complaint is the pockets are uselessly shallow and you WILL lose anything you put in them if you sit down or do anything other than calmly walk. They are the depth of my pointer finger and one can see a wallet or phone sticking out when they are in there. What's worse is unlike the Abisko Trekking Shorts, the hand pockets dont zip, so you cannot really use them for anything other than occasionally placing your hands in them. I've lost a few items in the woods because of this. Here's what I love. The zip-off is above the knee, so your legs can feel nice and cool when you zip off the bottoms. The zipper itself is discrete and they generally dont look like baggy dorky zip-offs found elsewhere. This is a rare and welcome feature. The tapered and articulated fit also makes you feel as if you are wearing a tailored and useful item. The thigh pockets are fine and I am happy to have the mesh phone pocket hidden in one. Two improvements needed, zippered hand pockets that are deeper, size zips for venting your thighs. With these you have a perfect late spring through early fall pant.

I've been trying for yearrrsss to get some fjallraven pants to fit me, but the euro sizing just seems to be off for me. I ordered size 32 (48 EU) and the pants overall are a more slim fit. Just above the knee, lower quad where the pants zip off to shorts) was just way too tight. Only wore around house trying on but could tell mobility would be severely limited. Otherwise the pants are pretty great. Would order the size 33-34 (50 EU), but tried that with the Vidda Pro's and Fjallraven's jump from 48 to 50 is just way too big of a size increase. Waists ends up too big, same with butt and thighs. For reference, my sizing: waist (@ belly button) @ 33-34in hips @ 40-41in quad @ 23-24in lower quad/above knee @ 20in

My new go to?
I am normally a Keb guy but I've really come around on these trousers. In the past I have had bad experiences with zip off's but these pants rock. First the fit is exceptional and there is no bulky extra material. The best part is the zipper placement which is above the kneecap, which is huge. Lastly they are durable and breathe which was appreciate last year hiking in the Rockies.

Just like the Abisko Lite Trekking Trousers...
I live in my Abisko Lite Trekking Trousers and have two pairs. I'm usually not a huge fan of the zip-off convertible trousers into shorts due to the fit, look, and shorts length. I decided to pull the trigger and get a pair to round out my wardrobe before my hot-humid-Summer trek through Japan. They have basically the same fit and features as the Abisko Lite Trekking Trousers, G-1000 Lite and stretch panels. The only thing missing are the side vents (my favorite feature) and they zip off into shorts. What would make this a 5 star review for me is if the trousers had the side vents. HOWEVER, I fell in love with these pants during the early morning start when it's slightly chilly and then being able to zip off into shorts when it starts to get REALLY hot.
