Mythic 97 Ski

It's pretty much a guarantee that you'll regret that second doughnut you snarfed down during the drive up the mountain, but when you strap the feathery light Dynastar Mythic 97 Ski to your feet, the extra belly weight might not seem so bad. With a lightweight wood core, a carbon fiber laminate, and a super versatile 97 mm waist width, the Dynastar Mythic ski will keep you powering up the ascent with enough leg strength left over to help yourself to a few more laps, or a few more doughnuts before you hit the skintrack.

Weighing just over six pounds per pair, the Mythics are the lightest offering from Dynastar to date. This is achieved through a lightweight paulownia wood core sandwiched between two layers of carbon fiber. An ultralight top sheet and a lightweight base material make them only that much lighter. Never one to sacrifice downhill performance, Dynastar built the the Mythic to ski like, well, a Dynastar. The ski's Powder rocker profile, which consists of a long, gradual rocker in the tip, camber underfoot, and a slightly rockered tail has a playful feel in the fluff, but will hold an edge when you're linking turns down steep couloirs and wide-open alpine zones. Full-length sidewalls add to their stable nature when you're picking up speed, while their progressive five-point sidecut offers plenty of float when you luck out with a bit of fluff up in the alpine.
