Terrible Quality not what I would expect from Columbia
I own several Columbia jackets and this is the worst quality I have ever seen from Columbia. Every other Columbia jacket or vest I own has a thicker, better quality zipper. This jacket has a micro small zipper that is cheep and garbage. It has never zipped up correctly. It finally failed and came apart from the jacket. I’ve only owed this jacket for 90 days and it’s now useless.

Would Buy Again
Way better than expected. This jacket is super lightweight but very warm.

Good, not great.
Item arrived sooner than anticipated delivery date, jacket is relatively warm but thin. Ordered small but fits like a medium. Chest fit is ok, sleeve length is way too long. For 20° weather, needed a sweater underneath. Sweater helps jacket fit better. Wont be using jacket without a sweater under.

Great Value, WARM & Comfortable
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Pros: A wonderful all purpose jacket for light rain, snow and the cold. Very light weight feel, but performs like a heavier weight jacket. The insulated interior works well and the water resistant outer shell sheds water. Much warmer than I expected (a good thing) and super comfortable to wear. Very impressed with the comfort and movement provided. Nice clean, flat exterior surface. Space-blanket like interior lining really works. Interior zippered pocket gets lots of use. Everything is working well and I hope to get several years out of the jacket. Cons: The zipper and slider, like so many of the newer jackets are all cheap plastic (YKK #5), and time will tell how well they hold up. A front chest pocket would have been nice, but not provided Sizing : Jacket sizes appear to run large so unless you plan on layer clothing, consider ordering one size down (I am a Medium, but the size Small fit me fine).

First Impressions
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- M
- Height:
- 5' 10"
- Weight:
- 190
Jacket is quality - it?s immediately apparent. Also that it?s sized BIG. I?m 5-10 / 190, bought a Medium and I?m justtttt on this side of NOT returning it for a Small. Anyone under that can probably buy a Small with confidence if you like more form-fitting stuff. The back covers a good portion of your behind. Arms are def longish, zipper quality gives me some pause but will be tested over time and the hood sits slightly askew when the jacket isn?t fully zipped. But when it is zipped, it?s perfectly molded and well-designed for full coverage. I almost get the impression how the hood lies is an afterthought, since it appears to be designed to usually be up. The dark cherry color is beautiful and more classy / subdued than I feared it might be. Jacket itself is solidly built and insulated with good, deep hand and inside chest pockets. Not bulky, just weighted-blanket comfortable. By the time May rolls around you won?t be wondering where it is until probably Oct. It?s def wayyy more than a light-insulation raincoat. Plenty of room for multiple-layers. Basically I see this as an excellent jack-of-all trades / master-of-none jacket for a place that has garbage weather a large % of the non-summer. Its not a pure backcountry shell but is def styled like one. Excited to test it out over an entire fall-winter-spring. Now that I?ve seen the build-quality I think the jacket would be a value even at full suggested retail - but getting it on sale is even better. Backcountry ordering, shipping and delivery process was stellar per usual. #End

Great for the cold
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great jacket. Not too bulky. Kept me very warm in below freezing temperatures. Kind of light on storage space but that's ok.
