    A little mud never hurts.

The recent news that Clement's clinchers are now all tubeless-ready sparked a bevy of positive feedback for the French brand, which had formerly only offered tubular and clincher versions of its popular tires. Now, you can run the Clement PDX Tubeless Tire as a regular clincher or tubeless; as long as you're in the mud, the tire won't complain either way.

As a classic mud-shedding shoe that's graced the wheels of lively 'cross steeds for years now, the PDX shows its strength best on soft, sticky mud. It's no coincidence at all that the PDX shares a name with the airport code for Portland, Oregon; inspired by the infectiously popular 'cross scene and frequent rainy days of the Pacific Northwest, the PDX features an open tread pattern to shed the thick and goopy stuff. More aggressive side knobs stand at attention to give you confidence to lean hard into corners, and Clement specifically shaped the leading edge of each knob to provide extra traction when you mash down on the pedals to accelerate out of a switchback and into a straightaway. When you hit stretches of course dried out by the sun, the PDX's center knobs keep the tire moving fast, rather than letting it get bogged down by traction where it isn't needed. Clement does make other 'cross tires better suited to drier days, so we'd save the PDX for the days when solid ground is nowhere to be found.

    • A mud-shedding tire ideal for soft 'cross conditions
    • Tread pattern provides traction and quick acceleration
    • High TPI for suppleness that rolls fast on rough terrain
    • Clement furthers its legacy as an iconic boutique tire brand

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I switched to these after running the wtb cross boss tubeless tires for one season (also a good option for non muddy days). Running them on the Stan's Grail right now and the install was really easily. I found the grip on these tires to be great for most terrain.I love racing on them on slightly muddy and super grassy courses. Also they're super supple which is HUGE plus because I can confidently get the psi pretty low for extra grip. I weight around 145lbs, and I'm pretty comfortable racing these at 23-27psi. I'm a happy camper :)

    strong suggestion

picked up this tire as suggested by a buddy, i'm impressed. good solid knobs down the center with aggressive knobs on the sides. it's my all around tire and has done well in every condition i've put it through.
