Why We Like The Castelli Climber's 4.0 Limited Edition Jersey
Castelli seeks to combine aerodynamics with perfect fit and comfort, and that's why the Climber's 4.0 Limited Edition Jersey is designed to be a lightweight aero jersey that will excel at dealing with the rigors of road racing in the heat and high in the mountains. It sees maximum aerodynamics with the Flusso 3D front-facing fabric, an Airflow shoulder construction, and StradaPro 3D rear-facing fabric for added breathability and airflow. Even if we're not a pro racer, we appreciate the quick-drying and sun-blocking properties of the Climber's 4.0, not to mention the additional airflow for when the sun's beating down and we're still miles out at the end of an arduous stretch of riding.

"Castelli" form-fit sizes in full effect
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I've always loved the Castelli climber's jerseys for hot weather riding, and while they keep getting better with every iteration, they all carry the same caveats. First, this is a thin jersey. If you choose to wear it without a base layer just know that it will show everything underneath it. Second, this isn't a problem but know that this jersey is composed of two primary fabrics: a waffle-like fabric for the torso and then a smoother fabric for the arms. Finally, the elephant in the room, that Castelli form-fit sizing. I actually find that the sizing is fairly accurate if you accept that "fit" here means "if it zips it fits". I would read the sizing chart as an upper bound of dimensions that can possibly squeeze into a given size. All in all a great jersey, but if you're looking for a relaxed fit that you can hide in this is probably not the jersey you're looking for.
