Need a bit more stretch

These are great quality but if thought they would have had a bit more stretch to them.

Remember when

I wore this brand and style for 15 years. I bought blindly here. Somewhere they changed the fit. Black pair was 2" shorter than the brown. Supposed to be the same. All loose fit now. No more from Carhartt.

Humongous

I ordered 40x34 and these are like 42x38. In the past I have ordered 40x34 and really liked the fit, this time they are huge. I will try to return them and get another pair.

I bought two pairs. Black are thick heavy fabric (canvas?). Brown are not as thick. They are durable. I have not worn the black pair yet. I would like to have both colors in the same thick heavy fabric.

Don't Forget Your Roots

Long-time customer here. I am giving this a rating of 1 to get the product managers' attention. Traditional Carhartt Firm Duck is awesome, but it's become very limited in pants, as y'all have mostly switched to some spandex version. It's almost like lately y'all are catering to the Yellowstone-watching-urban-cowboy. Double Front Firm Duck pants are available (barely), but only in Loose Fit (why not Relaxed?... And only two colors and one is black. It's nice to have a couple of normal colors...Carhartt brown, dark brown, driftwood, etc. to rotate to know what's clean.) I, and others, who do real outdoor work have historically viewed Carhartt products as PPE. When shredding a 6-foot high briar-patch with a tractor, being clothed in cowhide gloves, double-front Firm Duck (not spandex stuff) pants and a traditional Duck (not spandex stuff) jacket offers a lot of protection from being dragged off of the tractor by the briars. Tough clothes are good for tough work. Extra-loose fits with spandex are not helpful. Stop compromising on what got you here....Regular folks doing regular work.

Durable for work or play

Comfortable, durable heavy-duty fabric and these pants look good. Length is a little longer than you'd expect.
