Your body isn't symmetrical, why is your board?

The Burton Name Dropper is a whole different approach to building a park board. It features an asymmetrical core, edges, and flex for an ergonomically correct ride. Basically, that means that the Name Dropper is optimized for a modern duck stance, so you're not fighting the board when you're getting down on some tech jib moves.

Burton milled out the core using its Fillet-O-Flex core profiling to make the deck as thin as possible. That gives the board a soft, even flex and a ridiculously playful feel. And check out those panels at the binding mount points. Those add thickness, because the rest of the board is too thin for normal binding mounts. But since it's pre-broken in using Burton's Infinite Ride, you don't have to worry about durability either.

Of course, the Name Dropper uses Burton's revolutionary Channel System, which provides an infinite number of angles so you can get your stance exactly right. The underfoot panels also provide a bit of damping to smooth out the rough stuff and take the majority of the shock out of hard landings. The profile is flat between and under the bindings with rocker at the tip and tail. This adds to the board's playful feel while it boosts your confidence on rails, boxes, and the obligatory park booters. How good is it? The Name Dropper is the proud recipient of the Transworld Good Wood 2014 award, which means that it's pretty damn good.
