A world-renowned favorite for a reason.
From spinning the big jumps in the park to pointing lines down sketchy steeps, the Burton Custom Wide Snowboard brings you the pop, response, and stability you need to ride fast and go huge. A snowboarding icon for over twenty years, the Custom Wide remains the board of choice for Burton's hardest-charging riders. This wide version supports bigger riders and prevents toe drag for those with bigger boots.
Much has changed over the years for the Custom, but the one constant is a poppy, powerful camber profile. Camber ensures precision, response, and stability that other profiles fail to offer, making it the perfect choice for riders who live for superpipes and sending the biggest jumps in the park on their warm-up runs. A slightly set-back stance adds control and float without compromising switch riding, while the 45-degree Carbon Highlights use a tip-to-tail layer of carbon to substantially reduce weight while creating an aggressive, responsive feel, to let you point it with confidence.
The Superfly II core employs lightweight woods that specifically target strategic areas to cut weight and enhance pop, and Dualzone EGD gives you added edge control by placing perpendicular strips of wood along the edges. Squeezebox profiling makes the core thinner in areas where you want flex, and thicker in areas where you need strength. Then, the Frostbite edges extend out from under the bindings to create extra contact points that hold an edge on icy halfpipe walls and sketchy steeps. Infinite Ride construction means this board feels broken-in from day one, and it's finished off with an absorbent Sintered WFO base to resist damage and keep you flying down the mountain.

Great All Over The Mtn
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Board: Custom 158cm
Bindings: Burton Genesis EST
Rider Weight: 180lbs
Rider Height: 6'0''
Rider Boot Size: 10
Quiver Position: All-Mountain - with some freestyle/park qualities
My ideal quiver includes:
Powder / Freeride-Freestyle / All-Mountain / Party or Jib / Split Board
This is a great All-Mountain option and daily driver for the east coast riders. And a great option for the rider that occasionally hits the park.
All-Mountain All the Time:
This is a sweet board, and the only reason I don't have one in my quiver is the flex is a tad softer than my personal preference. But that is not to say the tech and geometry of this board isn't great. I think a lighter rider or rider that enjoys a medium flex board would enjoy this big time. It wouldn't be my first pick for powder but hitting everything else on the mountain would be a blast, plus I love the fact that there is nothing weird about the camber profile on this board.
There are a range of board options and this one might be for you....and it might not. Let's chat to make sure. We can also talk shop on boot, binding and board combos and how each part of the set up effects the others for your specific situation.
