    Not this time, Mother Nature.

Fortify yourself with the Burton Women's AK 2L Altitude Jacket and laugh in the face of nasty weather on your high alpine excursion. With a Gore-Tex fabric and Burton's engineered AK fit, the Altitude has become the first choice for avid powder-seekers who won't let anything stand in their way.

A guaranteed, waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex fabric blocks out the elements while still allowing moisture vapors to escape—meaning you don't get drenched with sweat on the inside. Additionally, the fully taped seams feature Gore-Seam tape that prevents moisture from seeping in through the cracks. The legendary AK fit features engineered articulation to allow for the total freedom of movement whether you're skinning up the trail or shredding down the face. Not to mention, the AK fit touts extra room for layers, without being baggy or bulky. Zippered underarm vents let you dump heat when you're bootpacking through knee-deep snow, and the contoured hood with a micro-adjust cinch shields your head from the storm when the weather suddenly turns on you. And, a removable stretch powder skirt with jacket-to-pant interface keeps the snow out on waist-deep days.

    • Weather-proof jacket for demanding alpine activities
    • Waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex construction keeps you bone-dry
    • Mesh-lined construction provides a quick cool down
    • Removable waist gaiter lets you adapt to the weather
    • Multiple pockets stash your adventure necessities
    • Regular fit enhances freedom of movement for performance

    Wife Approves

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Stylish yet techy, this jacket ticks off all the boxes for my wife. It does run on the larger size but allows for extra layers underneath. The 2l gore keeps her dry even on the wettest wildest days on the mountain. The powder skirt keeps snow out on the deepest of days. If you are looking for a piece that is functional yet stylish then look no further.

    Awesome jacket, runs large!

    • Fit: Runs large

I bought this for my wife and here is what she has to say:

This is a great jacket, but it runs large! I'm 5'7", 135 lbs and usually wear a medium. I like my snowboard jackets baggy, so I ordered a medium and it's for sure baggy. If you're between a M and L, the M should work great. If you're a M and like jackets more fitting, size down.

It's an awesome 2L Gore shell. Cute and functional, not to techy looking like a lot of the shells out there. I wear it at the resorts and pack it in the backcountry, it's pretty lightweight. It has a drop tail in the back, so it's a little longer and has some shape to it.

I prefer shells so I can layer underneath. I'm able to wear a base layer and insulated layer underneath this without it fitting too tight.

I recommend this shell to anyone, skiers and snowboarders!
