- 1mm, 2mm, and 3mm grids on both sides are laser-etched for precision, so you can get the most accurate snow-grain sizing
- Anondized flat black surface offers a degree of relief, minimal heat conduction (slows melting for easier observation) that keeps snow grains in place and makes visual identification easier
- Dimensions and nomenclature for Rutschbloc and compression tests are etched on the back, and snow crystal terminology on the front
- An attached string and weight allow you to use this card as a inclinometer with one-degree of resolution for accuracy
