Krumholtz UL2 mtnGLO Tent with Goal Zero: 2-Person 3-Season

It's a slippery slope from mountain enthusiast to hermit, and the most likely way to go from well-adjusted backpacker to grizzled loner is to spend long nights alone staring into the dark abyss conversing with the voices in your head. Like yourself, Big Agnes has flirted with mountain madness, but it's emerged with an idea that will help keep your mind in touch with reality: the Krumholtz UL2 mtnGLO Tent with Goal Zero technology.

It may sound like a lot, but the Krumholtz UL2 is just an ultralight (UL; see what they did there?) tent that comes with an integrated LED light strand and battery-equipped Goal Zero solar panel to keep your tent well lit throughout the night. The aforementioned solar panel is Goal Zero's Nomad 7W, a lightweight panel that can be clipped to the tent canopy via multiple daisy chains and then connected to the included Flip 20 battery, which uses a USB port to power the included fan, lantern, and LED light strand. The battery can also be used to charge or power 12V devices that have a USB port. As far as the shelter itself, the Krumholtz is composed of lightweight materials, giving it a trail weight of under three pounds, not including the Goal Zero components, and equipped with a seam-taped and PU-coated rain fly to seal out sleet and rain. The tent also has a fast-pitch option that trims the weight down to just two pounds, although a separate footprint is required for fast-pitch setups.
