Fitting into the line as our most technical pants for backcountry skiing and big mountain riding, the Cardiac GORE-TEX PRO Bib Pant defends us from adverse weather conditions. Whether we're timing up a rope drop at the resort or checking off Mt. Superior's summit for the season, we know we can trust the 3L GORE-TEX PRO laminate for its industry-leading waterproof to breathability ratio. We designed the generously-long side zips with a snap at the top so we can hammer the skintrack with them completely open, while inner thigh vents provide further ventilation options.

Warmest Ski Pants from Water & Wind

These are the best ski pants I've ever worn. Last year, I was skiing on a miserable, windy and wet day with constant wet snow coming down, and I was wearing these pants (and the jacket) while my family was wearing Helly Hansen, Arcteryx, and Kjus. I was the ONLY one of us that was warm. These pants handled the windy and wet snow significantly better than the other brands that my family was wearing. They spent the day complaining about how wet and cold they were. I certainly was not. Also, there are so many pockets, which I appreciate, because of the amount of stuff that I need to put somewhere while skiing. I agree with the previous review about running big. I had to go down a size, but that's the only thing I can think of that would be considered a negative. I'll buy these ski pants (and the jacket) forever based on my experience.

Used all winter long, mainly Utah resorts, layered only with baselayer and stayed dry and warm. Had plenty of room if adding a mid layer pant and jacket under bib. Love where the bib hit under bust, very comfortable, and great pocket at chest for cell phone. Thigh pockets are great and roomy as well.

I work in adaptive sports so it’s important that I can move around in my bibs so I went up a size and got a medium (usually a small). I’m not a big fan of the brown, but had to get a dark color for work… I do love that they’re not full bibs. Kind of like that they just go right under the boob with plenty of space to stuff and layer.

Went with the small, and I usually get a Medium mostly for cold weather layering. I wear a 6/8 in regualr pants. They fit perfect! I am a little top heavy but my legs are thick. The relaxed fit is flattering and perform great. I ski agressive and alot so I hope they hold out. I got the jacket earlier in the season and am very happy with the whole kit.

Overall, this bib feels great (agree with all the pros from the other reviews). However, the bib bellows out at the upper back area and doesn't lay flush with my body. With my other bib, the entire top back panel is elastic from side zipper to side zipper, but this one only has elastic in the middle. This causes it to go outward and leaves a huge gap at the back. I'm not completely sure if I should still keep it since I do have a longer coat, but am a bit disappointed that there's no drawstring or something to make the upper body back portion tighter (I would be willing to buy an elastic belt, but there's no belt loops either). I bought both the small and medium. The medium is way too big in the back, but the legs are more comfortable, and it fits more like how it fits on the model (other than the top portion). The small is better, but the elastic straps aren't quite long enough (since I have a longer torso, it gives me a borderline wedgie), and it still has the gapping in the back. I don't think layering a bunch of layers would be sufficient to fill out the gap either unfortunately.

I got the full set (with the Cardiac GORE-TEX PRO Jacket) and I am obsessed! the zippers come up just high enough that they dont fall, the side zippers are super sturdy and quick access for the bathroom. My only caveat is that I am coming off of lightly insulated bibs and I did have to call one day short when it was about 18 and windy in CO my butt was NUMB. I was only wearing 1 layer 100 merino pants. Temps haven't dropped that low again and they are perfect fine in ~25+ but for the colder weather I am going to try a heavier weight merino or some insulated capris I have seen on BC as well.

I’m from HI, snowboard occasionally in the PNW so I am not a gear expert. BUT my initial impression is this bib is great. I’m 5’0” on a good day, around 100-105lbs and petite. Runs big for me, but again I’m tiny. It is long on me. It’s loose and bunches up at the bottom and touches the ground with snowboard boots on. Inseam of bib when laid flat is 30” (my regular inseam would be 25-26”). It’s loose on top and sits right at your under bust (mine is 27”), but I prefer it a little loose for layering. Snowboarding in the PNW can be wet and slushy and this bib kept me dry; has seamed sealed zippers so your belongings (your phone) stay dry. Didn’t overheat and it was a nice sunny day. My favorite part is the side zips for an easy bathroom experience. It zips down on both sides so the flap hangs down and you can easily pull your pants off for #1 or 2 without needing to take any other gear off! There are buttons at the top of the side zips that are hard to open and snap shut, having to twist hard to the side to get to and my luck I would throw my back out so I just leave them open. Besides that, I don’t have any issues so far with these and I’m glad I got them! PS - Lavender (Aurora) color is pretty!

New But Feels Great

Only had a day in this but holy cow - fit, feel, and protection is excellent. My day out it was almost raining but stayed dry the whole time. Venting was great for that too. The material is incredibly lightweight and fair soft/flexible considering it’s a true goretex shell (sometimes they can be stiff and crunchy but this isn’t). The arms are long enough, and the slightly longer back is really nice for extra protection. It comes in just slightly above the hips to give it some curve but you don’t look like a mega hourglass which is nice. I’m 5’7” 145lbs athletic build and got a medium which gives me a loose-ish fit, and the large is baggie/park style fit. I went w/ medium since I do more touring and backcountry skiing.
