Comfy, light, too bulky for me
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- M
- Height:
- 5' 11"
- Weight:
- 162
This is very comfy and lightweight. It is easy to get on and only slightly challenging to get off. Having someone help pull it off really helps. That said, I am returning it for the TLD Ghost protective top. This one is fairly bulky if you want to wear a jersey over top of it. If you are ok wearing this as the top layer, it will be fine. I just prefer having my armor underneath for purely vane reasons. I am hoping the Ghost top is more streamlined, more of a compression top with thinner D30 padding. But that one does cost a lot more. I am 5'11", 162 lbs, wearing a medium with a t-shirt underneath.

Decent product
This product has nice features, and the protection features seem good. Getting the thing on & off is a bit challenging. Especially trying to take it off after working up a sweat.

The item I received does not look like this item!
The item I received does not in any way look like the item in the picture. It is more of a cheaper mesh material, Chest & back protection seem decent however the shoulder pads seem very wimpy!!! Be aware before you buy this item as you may be disappointed in what you get. Also seem to run large.

TDL Shock Dr.
The vest is very comfortable to wear and you forget you are wearing it when riding. It does get a little hot when the temps get up but I sweat easy. The vest has great protection coverage and has EC rating which I feel like is good for trail riding. It is hard to get off when sweaty so I wear a shirt under it to help pull it off. The material between pads is thin and feels like it may tear when pulling it off but the shirt under helps.

Great Product.
lightweight, breathable with true fittment. I broke my ribs last season and felt vulnerable until now. I’m a fairly thick guy and took a hit while wearing this gear. It performed beyond my expectations.

Covers ribs!
Pretty comfortable.barely even notice it while riding.bought after bruised ribs twice in 3 years.haven't had to see if it will do the job of avoiding an injury but it seems to be able to protect very well, like the fact that it covers the ribs on upper sides couldn't find many other options that did so.
