The North Face built the Resistor Charged Backpack for traveling tech junkies, adventure photographers, and anyone else who always needs their electronics charged and ready to go. It features a D-door for easy access to a charging dashboard that charges your laptop, tablet, phone, camera, and other electronics while you're on the go.
The removable Joey T55 battery pack provides 3.5 full phone battery charges and several days of partial charges so you can stay on the grid even when you're far from an outlet. It's also water- and crush-resistant so it can withstand the rigors of whatever journey you take it on. A lay-flat laptop compartment makes it easy to reach your computer so you can get through security like a pro. The charging dashboard pocket also features a padded fleece-lined tablet pocket and fleece-lined media pocket, and two additional fleece-lined pockets hold even more electronics, as well as sunglasses and other small items you don't want scratched. The Resistor Charged is finished off with a FlexVent suspension system, a removable waist belt, and side compression straps to make your journey more comfortable.

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Unfortunately, I cannot be as effusive as the other reviews posted here. I travel a great deal, and my prior pack was a tad small but solid. I am generally impressed with Northface products, and the battery pack was a nice addition. So why am I not impressed? The battery pack barely gave me one charge, unlike others that had 2-3 charges. The zippers used seemed to be placed poorly. wouldn't you want the beefier zipper be where your laptop is so you could more readily open and close it? Also, water-resistant, something I took for granted with a Northface pack, and it was not. My passport got drenched! I was not even in a downpour, or in the rain that long, yet my passport and other items got wet.
The pack itself is nicely designed on how it fits the body and can be adjusted, but I bought it for much more than that!
You cannot be serious my friend...
My friend's been asking for this as a birthday gift for at least several centuries. I figured I buy it for him since I owe him for a huge favor a couple years back. Anyways, great backpack...especially with the inclusive battery pack that helps you recharge that iPhone(eww)or Samsung Galaxy(woohoo) when it's out of battery. I have heard it can fully charge your phone to full 3x before you have to charge the pack but have yet to test it.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This backpack has been awesome to use over the past 3 months. It has many zipper compartments to store your needed items for either school, day trips, or some hiking. I really liked the added feature of the built in charger because you never know when you will have to charge up your phone or gopro to get the shot. The battery takes some time to fully charge up but it has fully charged my phone 2-3 times before it is fully dead. I have a 13 in macbook pro and it fits well in the backpack laptop sleeve, a 15 in fit pretty well but a bit tight, but after awhile it started to fit better after the fleece material stretched out a bit.
