Salomon's Odyssey collection consists of footwear worthy of hiking trails as long as the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, and the Women's Odyssey GTX Hiking Shoe is a lower-cut option equipped with Gore-Tex waterproofing for hiking longer trails whether it's wet and rainy or warm and sunny. Salomon welded the light, breathable upper to a protective toe cap for a seamless, smooth feel as well as toe-stubbing durability. Underfoot, the Odyssey sports a highly-cushioned midsole that maintains comfort over long miles. A rockered profile promotes easy strides over technical terrain, and Contagrip rubber gives the traction needed for moving fast.
In order to protect the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, Salomon will donate $5 to the Continental Divide Trail Coalition for every pair of the Odyssey sold from June 1 - August 31, 2020. The CDTC is a non-profit that builds infrastructure, teaches trail stewardship, and maps the trail. Salomon is proud to partner with the CDTC to promote protecting the land we all love to explore.

Odessey GTX W
I have bought a pair of these hiking shoes and walk 15 miles a day what ever the 365 days a years come rain, snow and mud. They have been the best walking shoes I have had so much so that I have since ordered 2 more pairs. They are so comfortable with the extra wide toe area. Don't stop selling them as it would take ages to find something as good.

Nice shoes - run a little big
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I?m usually a 7.5-8 in sneakers. I?ve had many salmons in the past and usually found them to run a bit big. Backcountry only had 7.5 in stock so I took a chance and they were quite big. Even with thicker socks. I wish they had a 7 for me to try. Overall they looked like a sturdy waterproof shoe. Just fit too big.

Horrible Grip and Traction
These should not be classified as a hiker! I love Salomon, have purchased their X Ultra on many occasions but these shoes are horrible!! I was used to the traction and grip from the X Ultra, and these have none!!! Very unfortunate as it was nice to have the regular laces and wider toe. But grip/traction is tooo important not to have in a hiker!!

The ideal shoe!
Having bought the Alphacross GTX shoes, and adoring the waterproofness but really disliking the grip, I needed something that would be suitable on all terrain. These are the shoes! I've never felt more stable. I also really appreciate the width of the Salomon Generous Fit. More wide fit shoes/boots please!

These were great!
These worked well for my feet as I have a wider fore foot with a bunion and short toes. So I need a shoe that fits heel to forefoot.

foot heaven
I've always had salomon waking shoes, but I found with my quite wide feet, they had started to grip my foot. I asked the customer service for advice, and they suggested Odyssey GTX W. I love them, no more aching feet after walking. I have tested them on the Devon coastal paths, just great. Comfortable, and still plenty of space in them, even when my feet were warm. I used the sizing guide, as I am normally a 7-7/12 but the guide suggested size 8, which I must admit was the perfect size for me. I would definitely would recommend these, and the colour is different..

Great overall shoe
I love the color of this shoe. Great comfortable shoe a plus that they are waterproof. They do run a little bit bigger i usually or half size bigger for toe space. So order your true size. I’m an 8 1/2 I ordered a 9 and they are way to big.

Super stable hiking shoe!
I got these shoes about a month ago and I cannot begin to express how much I like them. They are lightweight and super stable. The sole is nice and stiff so my ankles feel super sturdy and steady on the trail. I have used them on all different types of trail and they were great today on over a mile of scree. Highly suggest these! True to size for me, I am an 8 and they fit well. I have to tighten the laces quite a bit on my right foot, just because it is a bit smaller than my left.
