Nine Trails Jacket - Women's

Ripstop nylon is nylon with reinforcement threads woven into a crosshatch pattern. This enables the fabric to remain lightweight, yet resist tearing and ripping. In the Nine Trails jacket, lightweight 15D nylon is the base fabric, reinforced with 50D triple ripstop yarn. In using thicker threads as reinforcement, the jacket remains whisper-thin and super strong, offering incredible strength-to-weight ratio. What this means for you is a lightweight jacket that withstands abuse and limits the damage small branches, rocks, or unruly concrete inflicts upon it.

You'll find polyester stretch panels on the back and shoulders of the Nine Trails jacket. In addition to accommodating movement, the panels offer ventilation, allowing excess heat to escape without letting moisture or cold air in. The stand collar, full zipper, and drawcord hem enhance natural air flow of the jacket; you can zip all the way up and tighten the hem around your waist when the wind screams, or unzip and loosen the bottom when the sun shines a bit strong. The athletic cut of the Nine Trails is trim and versatile. You can layer the jacket over a mid-weight baselayer, or simply throw it over a T-shirt on warmer days.
