I love this piece... The quality is definitely there in form (thought of garment design) look, feel, zippers and all-around usage. I would recommend this shell for anything from skiing to hiking!
This is a super nice light weight shell. It does not have pit vents, but I personally do not find that a big issue. The pockets are appropriate and very usable, no issue here, snow cuff is perfect. The material, light army color and feel are superb. The sleeves are long and well proportioned, body is plenty big for layering in severe conditions, (perhaps a little large but that's personal preference). I am 6'1", 200 lbs, wear size large and looks/fits like the picture.

Lighweight, moves well, waterproof, but details missing.
Have skied in this about 20 days so far. I really like the fit and the lightweight materials. It moves well with me, and packs away much more easily than a more typical shell used for inbounds skiing. It's also kept me bone dry so far. (Luckily I haven't had the durability problem that the other reviewer did.) However, some of the details are a bit off-the-mark. My biggest complaint is that the elastic pulls around the waist simply do not stay tight. They loosen as soon as I move. Plus, the powder skirt doesn't fit snugly, even when on the tightest setting. I'm almost considering tying a big fat knot in the elastic pulls just to keep it cinched around my waist so snow doesn't get in. It's a huge disappointment, because that's a crucial feature for a ski jacket. I'm also bummed it doesn't have pit zips. I knew it didn't when I bought it, and it is lightweight, but I'm missing them. The hood, on the other hand, is well designed and the pull-tabs stay put on the hood perfectly. It seems the things that hold the elastic on the hood are higher quality than the ones around the waist.

I don't ski... I am an outdoors enthusiast, though, and I bought this jacket to have a shell that would withstand whatever weather comes along. I've only had a couple of occasions to wear it so far, but it definitly lives up to its billing. Weather, moisture, wind, this thing blocks it all out. It also breathes incredibly well, so well that I can see this being a 3 season weather blocker. I like how it fits, large enough to layer underneath comfortably, but still not bulky. This jacket is next-level bad weather gear, and my new go-to when I have to spend the day outside in the rain!

Light, waterproof, but too short.
Love everything about this jacket except that it's too short on the bottom, and the powder skirt sits too high up. The overall length should be a few inches longer, and the powder skirt should be a few inches lower. I got a medium. I'm just under 6 foot. 170 pounds. The powder skirt sits above my waist. I don't know what they were thinking. On deep days, this does not stop the snow from coming up. I would recommened this for all uses except backcountry pow days, which is why I bought it....

Ultralight weight and breathable fabric.
I’m a ski patroller and avalanche instructor in the Rockies and I need my gear to be durable, and have well thought out features that allow me to perform my duties without thinking about where things are located. Pros This shell is super light and packable, yet has great wind resistance There is a great internal phone pocket to keep your phone warm The internal powder skirt works great and doesn’t add bulk or ride up while skinning The huge pockets are great for stashing gloves while treating a patient and high enough to use with my pack hip belt still on Cons No pit zips or other method to dump heat but it isn’t needed except on warm windy days because the shell itself is so breathable and packable. The single smaller lower pocket is only half usable with a pack hip belt, but all my packs have hip belt pockets that minimize the need for this extra pocket.

The quintessential lightweight touring jacket
I am an outdoor and environmental educator working for the Walking Mountains Science Center in the Colorado Rockies. I need my gear to be lightweight, warm, and also able to withstand a great deal of abuse. Overall I give the Men's High Exposure C-Knit Jacket 5/5 stars. This is a jacket that is perfectly cut and fitted for backcountry skiing and ski-mountaineering. It is designed to both be durable, and incredibly lightweight. I appreciated the zipper locations on the jacket as they accommodate harness use. The powder skirt is minimalist and effective which is appreciated. This jacket would be ideal for the winter traveler and most useful for the backcountry skier. The C-knit flexible fabric really shines in this jacket as it allows you to be mobile and nimble while skiing and while touring without sacrificing performance. Really a stellar jacket that is becoming my daily ski jacket for all conditions. .

This is the shell I've, always wanted
This is my first Gore-tex shell jacket. I have always wanted one and was always on my wish list. I purchased this as a warm, wet weather ski jacket for in the spring. The fit was absolutely perfect in the medium. I wear a medium in almost everything, though happily chose a large in the MHW stretch down jacket that I loved all winter. This medium shell fit over this puff perfectly to create the perfect cold weather, waterproof jacket for skiing or snow blowing the driveway. Due to the minimulist, performance fit, I can also wear this jacket with a single layer t shirt as a rain coat during a summer canoe trip. Full motion, breathable, waterproof all season shell. Large comfortable pockets, adjustable and conforming hood that is so simple and light weight. I love the weight of the material and feel it would be a jacket built and constructed to survive a lifetime of use and abuse. I'm going to wear this jacket all year round and for the rest of my life. If I go tomorrow, please lay me to rest in it. My wife also approved of the price... Bonus. Great all season multi-use jacket. The colour is all light green and not the green / tan appearance on the web. I love the colour in the real. It is not the same shade as the cloud bank green Gore-tex pants and is lighter in colour. An Essential item.

Quality jacket
This ski jacket is a nice blend of lightweight, waterproof and features. I’m 5’8”, 170lb and normally am a size 40 jacket. The medium fit perfectly and still allowed enough room for a fleece jacket, which was perfect for 12deg weather. I love the pocket locations and high quality zippers. Overall a great quality ski jacket

Ordered Two
Ordered one medium, one large. I would say the fits were true. The medium had a workmanship defect in the zipper. The upper seam was not properly manufactured and it would get caught on that.

GREAT JACKET
Bought this for my husband. One of the BEST waterproof, windproof jackets out there. Everything we own from MH is quality. Customer service is great too.
