Spindrift 14L Backpack

Don't be fooled by its small size—the Mammut Spindrift 14 Backpack may be the lowest volume pack in the Spindrift family, but it boasts a place for every piece of gear you need for a successful backcountry outing, plus a few surprises. The main compartment features a front and back zipper, so you can access your avalanche safety gear whichever way you prefer, while a myriad of straps, loops, pockets, and attachments take care of the rest. There's a hydration sleeve for your reservoir, but also a mesh pocket on the shoulder strap for an additional bottle. Two large hip belt pockets make room for your skins in one, while you can slip gloves, snacks, and a cell phone into the other. Stow your ice axe in one back carry loop and your trekking poles in the other, or attach the poles to the front shoulder strap for quick access during transitions. As a nice little cherry on top of this touring sundae, Mammut added an integrated wind shield jacket. If you stop for a break and the  weather acts up, you can simply pull it out of the hip belt and slip it over your chest to keep wind chill from sucking away your valuable body heat.
