Sky Arkali Hiking Shoe

The HOKA ONE ONE Sky Arkali Hiking Shoe is ready to take you on the tallest peaks and most rugged trails thanks to its comfortable midsole cushioning, grippy rubber outsole, and supportive lock-down fit. Bringing a running-like cushion system to the trail, this rugged yet comfortable shoe features a PROFLY midsole that absorbs shock during the heel strike and delivers a more responsive toe-off at the forefoot, keeping your stride smooth and energetic throughout the whole hike.

Meanwhile, hook-and-loop straps at the ankle and heel help create a totally secure fit that won't slip or slide around when you're hiking through technical upper-mountain sections. On the outsole you've got a reliable and high-performing Vibram Megagrip outsole that keeps your footing secure on everything from dusty summit scrambles to low-elevation mudfests. And with an ultra-durable construction to top it all off, you can keep this shoe by the door as a reliable go-to for any mission on tough trail.

Not a great hiking shoe

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
9

Comfortable, protects my toes for kicking rocks, dry quick after walking across beaver dam. I got a pair and they started coming unglued around 170 miles on the Appalachian Trail. Replaced under warranty and the second pair are coming unglued again within a month of getting them. A lot of the stitching is decorative. Good city shoes, not good hiking shoes.

Like walking on a cumulonimbus

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
9.5
Height:
5' 9"
Weight:
160

I got these for a combination of urban hiking pushing a stroller, and for hiking out in the woods backpacking with a load of 30-45 lbs. these are super comfy, and my hiking boots are gonna be getting used a lot less now. The heel strap is actually useful, not just a gimmick, so play around with it to dial in a custom fit. I got these in the all black. size 9.5 just like my speedgoats, they fit the same. I wear a 9.5 in salewa, nike, hoka., just about everything, and these fit true to size. I;m really wanting to try the hoka ten nine shoe for trailrunning...but haven't mustered the gumption to pony up $250 for the shoe. This sky arkali is legit.good job HOKA
