Why We Like The Grundens Charter GORE-TEX Bib

We like the Charter GORE-TEX Bib for its breathability and packability. It's Grundens most breathable bib, thanks to GORE-TEX Paclite Plus, wich is the lightest, most breathable, most packable GORE-TEX waterproofing. The Charter packs down small and stows easily in our boat or tackle bag but delivers big-time waterproof and windproof protection when we need on the water. We like the light-duty construction, which lets us focus on the fish—not the weather—and the lower leg zippers, which let let slip the bibs off and on easily, even when we're wearing boots.

Short inseams

Got these in October and just now wearing them. I went up a size from a Med to a Large from my last Gruden bibs. The inseam on those were great, Im 6'1. So I didn't try these on, just put them in the boat for "in case". They don't touch the tops of my boots standing, and when I sit, you can see my socks in a 6" deck boot! SO, I would only buy these if your on the short side of tall.

Buy the Best

I learned a long time ago that buying the best when dealing with the weather is always the cheapest alternative. The cost of time, money, and misery just isn't worth the $ when it comes to the limited time you get in the outdoors

Basic, but Gore-Tex

I have not worn it yet. It does not have a front zipper which will make it more difficult when nature calls and there are no side pockets. But this is gore tex and I can live without side pockets and a zipper. There is a center pocket/pouch for storage

Excellent Bib for warmer climate

Lightweight Gore-tex bib is very comfortable and durable for me as a full time fishing guide in Florida. Its not too heavy to get hot in the summertime and keeps me dry in heavy rains while blocking the wind during the winter months to keep me comfortable on the water all year.

Highly packable, comfortable and light weight!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are made for packing. They are thin, comfortable and true to size. They are well built with quality materials and parts. They do not have any pockets in the legs which I kind of miss but, that does make them more packable. Wide leg openings with zippers are nice to put over xtra tuffs if you need them. Overall very pleased with them and they will be in my raft and bag with me whenever I’m out. Would recommend!

Nice bibs but extremely short inseam

Solid set of bibs, but extremely short inseam. I didnt measure the inseam, but typical of many Grundens bottoms, they are too short for anyone over 6 feet tall.

Dry as a bone.

Just started to use them but so far so good. Was caught in a day long down pour and was dry after nearly 7 hour on the water.
