Knkens Vinylon fabric can resist a brief shower but for persistent rain youll need a little extra protection. This rain cover is especially designed to fit your favourite backpack. It has a reflective logo and elasticated edging plus press buttons that hold it in place. Easy to pack into its integrated pocket, and with a small loop so you can attach it to your Knken with a small carabiner, for example.

The rain cover fits well & feels pretty durable, but it's unfortunate that the cover & the shoulder pad attachments use the same button on the straps to secure them. You can only have one or the other secured at a time & the shoulder pads do slide around a bit without securing those top buttons.

Works just fine, disregard other review
Just bought this and installed on my Kanken No 2 15 inch laptop pack and it works just fine, EVEN WITH using the straps, meaning you can wear this as a backpack while still having the rain cover completely installed. Have no idea what that other reviewer was talking about but it works great.

Can't be used with shoulder pads
This rain cover fits the kanken perfectly. However, I ran into the issue that you can't attach this to the bag as intended while using the backpack straps since they both lock into the same buttons at the top of the backpack strap. If the rain is temporary, you could probably get away with unclasping the backpack straps since they may not slide around much if you're wearing the bag; but this is not a long term solution. I ran into the same issue with the kanken mini rain cover (on that bag both the rain cover and the backpack straps loop through the black connector piece at the top of the straps). Cover itself is great, but it would be nice to be able to use with the shoulder straps without having to compromise on the attachment points for either product.

I love this rain cover!
I bought a light pink kinked with blue handles. The pink rain cover I bought was a lot brighter than the pink of my backpack, but I expected this. The color of the pink rain cover is very close to the picture, only in real life it's even a tad brighter. It really stands out! The vinyl is really thin, but this is fine, as it's still really tough and durable. This is really great in the rain, it has really helped me. I love this rain cover. One tiny minor point that could have been a bit better is that the back of the backpack is left uncovered. (An elastic stretches around the frame of the backpack in the back.) This is fine, as it's usually on my back anyway, but it might be nice to have the back covered too, if I'm just carrying the backpack. I'm always nervous that the rain cover has slipped of the back from the bottom (there are only snaps the rain cover attaches to at the top of the shoulder pads), but the rain cover holds on really well, and this has almost never happened. I wish there were a way I could open my backpack (or even the front pocket!) without having to take off the entire rain cover! But really, it's a fantastic product and a super handy idea. I highly recommend it. :)
