We dress to match the variable conditions of winter with the Columbia Wild Card Interchange Jacket. The waterproof shell stands alone for warm, damp days while its counterpart, the down liner, performs just as well for dry, cold days. Zip the liner into the shell to create a warm and waterproof choice for snowy days. For a day on the slopes, this jacket is equipped with underarm vents, an adjustable powder skirt, and a pass pocket on the sleeve. More casual days will call upon the removable hood and adjustable hem, allowing you to change the look depending on the occasion and weather.

Replacement for 8-10 yr old Eddie Bauer "interchange" type jacket
I got the coat at the end of the season, so I haven't given it a full workout on a winter outing. But it is warm, looks good, and has all the bells & whistles I look for - pit zips, drawstring hem, option to wear it together or separate, etc. I am usually between size L and XL at 5'10, 205 lbs. I got the L and it is plenty big enough, the XL would have been huge, I suspect.

Nice but very light weight
Well made with good styling however this is not heavy enough to ski with. Just an outer shell like a heavy windbreaker.

Maine weather approved
The jacket is stylish and reminds me of my snowboarding years. Super mobile and functional, I can put my arms up freely without any resistance. The fit is comfortable and the coat keeps me warm even in the frigid areas of northeast New England. I would definitely recommend the product!

Really Disappointed
The jacket is not very warm at all. I wanted to buy the warmest interchange, so was hoping the 650 fill down would be warm, but I was sadly mistaken. The down is duck down, and there's not a lot of fill, it's not very heavy. I'm very disappointed the warmth. The zipper technology stinks. I bought a Lhotse, which was not warm at all, and that jacket had the main zipper break. I returned the Lhotse and bought the Wild Card and it has the same problem! The main zipper that zips the coat up from the bottom to the top occasionally comes unzipped at the bottom, so you end up with the bottom coming apart, and then have to try to unzip it from the top down and end up fighting with the zipper trying to get it totally unzipped. It's very frustrating. The jacket is large. I normally wear a large, but bought a large Wild Card and had to return it for a Medium, which fits fine. What I would say is I really like the style of the coat, and the look, and the shell material, all seems to be pretty good. I bought an interchange many years ago that was very warm, never had problems with the zipper, etc. I totally loved it, it was my favorite! I am willing to pay money for a great interchange that is warm and has good quality. But I am very disappointed with their current design. I am honestly not sure I am going to buy another, unless it's just because of a merchandise credit or whatever. I seriously will consider Patagonia or North Face or something. I bought this Wild Card with a merchandise credit, so I guess I'll keep it, but probably have to wear something under it to stay warm, and hopefully the zipper problem doesn't get to annoying. I have noticed that when you zip it up, if you button the bottom button then the zipper won't unzip from the bottom up.

Good Jacket, but the pockets..
All in all i'm happy with my new Wild Card Interchange Jacket. However, the pocket locations regarding to placement of internal VS external was poorly designed in my opinion. I would feel for something in a pocket but couldn't tell if it was the outside or inside because they overlapped. On one side of the jacket there's 3 pockets in the same spot. WHY ? I have an older Columbia Jacket and the pocket locations are far better placed. The other issue i didn't care for was the Velcro instead of snaps on the zipper flap. I'd rather have the choice of zipping and snaps or either of the two.

Looks great and good quality product
I bought this last month as a birthday gift. My husband loved it . It is very warm with both layers and he has been using each one separately as well. Runs slightly big though. I returned and got the right size. Awesome customer service

Nice jacket.
I like the weight of this jacket. It is lighter than my former jacket, as I had the fleece inside instead of the down. I will say I am disappointed with this jacket in three ways as compared to my former jacket. 1. The hood is removable. 2. The zipper doesn't have a dual zipper to open at the bottom to allow for sitting. 3. The flaps that cover the zipper are velcro and not magnetic. Overall, it's a great jacket, but I was used to some features that aren't on this jacket.

Good quality
The quality is very good. The color is not as bright as the photo. But still good blue color. I purchased for my husband, and he is very pleased and wears it every day.

Winter Parka
This jacket has been great. The zip in insulated jacket is warm and light weight and the waterproof shell has held up in heavy rain. I'm a big guy but the XXL fits perfectly and is in fact a little loose fitting. The only mild complaint I have is that the hood is very large, probably designed to accommodate a ski helmet.
