Family Tree Tough Cat Snowboard

Named for its ferocious appetite for bombing steeps at scary-fast speeds, laying into carves with claw-like grip, and stomping cliffs with sure-footed stability, the Burton Family Tree Tough Cat Snowboard comes alive on freeride missions in the backcountry and high-speed resort runs. It's very similar to Burton's Flight Attendant with its Balanced Freerdie Geometry, which consists of a slightly tapered directional shape and directional camber with early-rise nose.

However, make no mistake—the Tough Cat is more aggressive in flex and sidecut, making it less playful at low speeds than the Flight Attendant and better suited for expert riders who charge. Note that it's best suited for big-footed freeriders, thanks to its mid-wide waist for boots sized 10 and up. This mid-wide waist also increases stability for straight-lining chutes and stomping landings with authority.

Inside this ferocious feline, the FSC Certified Super Fly II 700G Core saves serious weight while optimizing strength for hard-charging riders. The triax fiberglass layup prevents high-speed chatter and excess torsional flex, especially considering the Carbon I-Beam acting as a snappy-stabilizing backbone. Catering to riders who thrash and abuse their boards on a regular basis, the Tough Cat's edges are beefier than other boards in Burton's lineup, meaning they can take a beating like no other.
