    Keeps Your Goods Covered

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a great lock for keeping your bike or boat locked up. For the price it certainly has great utility and is convenient considering there are no keys to keep track of. You can easily keep it in a backpack and not notice the weight too much. I would not use this for bikes in the city because someone could cut it with bolt cutters. If you are looking for a lock for the city check out any U Lock.

    Simple Enough

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

What you see is what you get. Solid cable with a combo lock that is easy to customize/set. Comes with a little velcro strap to better secure it to your frame. Use this for my townie bike.

    Clamp and Cable

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

It's certainly got the requisite parts to be a bike lock: a cable and a secure clamping mechanism. I had some trouble with the combination reset mechanism, but it eventually worked out.

I should also note that the lock was purchased for indoor use, only. I wouldn't leave a bike outside with any cable lock, as all it takes is a snip and the bike is gone. If your school/office/whatever has a community bike rack with restricted access, leaving this there makes for peace of mind and less hassle while packing for the morning commute.
