The Big Agnes Daisy Mae Sleeping Bag offers warmth and roomy space to keep comfy on backpacking trips while being highly compressible so as not to take up too much room in your pack. Its face fabric and warm down insulation are both water-resistant for wet conditions while the streamlined silhouette provides thermal efficiency for a comfortable night's sleep. A Pillow Barn prevents your pillow from slipping around while you sleep, or, if you're really pressed for space, you can load all your extra layers in instead of bringing along a bulky pillow.

Perfect Lightweight bag

As a Backcountry.com employee, I will say this was one of the best sleeping bags I have used camping. I took a week-long trip down to California where the low was 25 degrees F. I did use a sleeping bag liner, but I was very warm and was able to sleep through the cold nights no problem. For everyone interested, keep in mind that this bag has no down on the bottom, as it is for lightweight backpacking. It should be paired with a sleeping pad with an R value of 4 or higher. I also enjoyed the feature where it attaches to the pad so it keeps you from rolling off. Zipper also does not get caught light most other sleeping bags I have tried! 10/10 recommend. #BackcountryGearhead

Requires a sleeping pad
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I didn't realize when buying this that it would require a sleeping pad. There is no insulation on the bottom of the bag, only a thin piece of material. I knew there was a spot for a sleeping pad but didn't think it was required for use. That being said, the bag was warm with my sleeping pad. I'd like one that doesn't require the pad though. I'm kind of disappointed.

I was a little nervous about there being no insulation on the bottom since I am a very cold sleeper but after hearing all the things about you not needing it anyway, I decided to give it a try and am so glad I did! The Daisy Mae 0 degree delivers on comfort and warmth! I used it on a quick backpacking trip recently, for the first time, and was surprised the next morning when the dogs water was frozen in his bowl. I don't think I have ever been so warm on any below freezing nights! The flex pad sleeve was a little difficult to deal with but you do not have to have a Big Agnes pad to use this sleeping bag. It did fit with my Klymit insulated sleeping pad. The features inside the bag are great as well. The mesh phone pocket kept my phone close to me and warm so it didn't get too cold and die, plus I didn't have to go bag diving to find it the next morning! The pillow barn also keeps your pillow right where it needs to be all night! If you are using it for back packing the warmth for weight exchange is great and in its compression sack it gets down to about 8"x11".
