Angel Springs UL3 Tent: 3-Person 3-Season

Getting your fly properly guyed out before the rain, but then realizing as you sit in your tent that condensation is turning everything soggy anyway, is a bummer―almost as bad as getting rained on without a fly at all. Big Agnes has slept in soggy sleeping bags before, and designed the Angel Springs UL3 3-Person 3-Season Tent to seal out external moisture and vent like mad to prevent internal dampness from turning what should be a comfortable night into a wet, cold, and utterly awful ordeal. The ultralight Angel Springs is primarily mesh, but has a sloping, silicone-treated partial wall and a fly that's designed to work with the shape of the tent—it offers full coverage in all the mesh areas, but tapers where it covers the solid wall, keeping you dry while encouraging plenty of air to move through the tent and keeping weight low. All the seams are fully-taped as well.

Just because the Angel Springs is high-tech doesn't mean it's hard to set up. It comes with a DAC NFL pole system, which uses a hub-style design and color-coded webbing and buckles to make pitching ultra-simple. A vestibule has room for two packs and pairs of boots, five mesh pockets hold gear, and three media pockets with cable ports let each occupant listen to their to own tunes without disturbing their partners. The guy wires and external webbing are even reflective so you don't get tangled up like Ahab walking around in the dark.
