Designed for rafting, camping, or simply hanging out in the backyard, the Mayfly is designed to provide stability and rock at the same time, while the tenacious ripstop seat construction ensures a lifetime of seated adventures—mostly of the heckling based sort.

    Best chair ever!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My husband and I got these for Christmas and sat in them the entire time to open presents, they are so comfortable! Definitely better than finding a log or rock to sit on while camping. They offer excellent support and comfort. I love that they rock too so you can lay back in them .My husbands favorite thing is to lay back in this while belaying while climbing. Have some relaxation after you're route and still able to look up at your partner. Awesome chairs! They pack super small too so you can carry them anywhere, about the size of a water bottle.

So Much Better Than A Damp Log!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this chair, it is super comfortable and sturdy. Takes just a minute to put together, but easy once you do it a time or two. It does sit pretty low to the ground, so getting up or sitting down is kind of a challenge, but maybe that's because it's the end of a long day on the trail. I did a side by side comparison with my buddy's Helinox Zero and the weight difference was barely noticeable. What I really like about this chair, and where it is far better than the Helinox, is that you can recline on the Mayfly with no worries of breaking the legs or sinking into the ground. If you want to shave a couple ounces of pack weight you can leave the front leg at home and it basically becomes the Alite Monarch. It will always be in my pack, it's what I consider to be essential gear!

    Light and packable chair!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This chair packs super small which I really like, it is comfortable, light and easy to assemble and disassemble, store it again in its bag is easy as well; due to the frame comes separately we can machine wash it.
On the other hand, It is stable no matter how you sit, it wont move forward or backward.

    Great Versatile Chair

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great lightweight chair for backpacking, camping or outdoor concerts. First assembly is a little tricky, but with a little practice it's an easy setup/breakdown. Chair is low to the ground, but very comfy.

    Trail camp comfort

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had this chair for several years now and used it on day-hikes and week-long backpacks. The chair assembles easily once you've figured out how to place the lower leg unit on and how to hold it in place while attaching the fabric seat. I find it extremely comfortable on a lunch break or for relaxing and cooking meals before or after a day on the trail. This chair has been the envy of nearly everyone who sees me comfortably relaxing along the trail. At 1.6 lbs. and reasonably compact, I find it an essential part of my kit. Even with the chair, 1.5 liters of water and a full bear-proof food canister I can keep my pack under 40 lbs for a seven-day backpack.
