Amazing for travel!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Very sturdy and well made, perfect for a carry on bag/backpack. Thule is a quality brand, highly recommended.

Great Travel Camera Backpack

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Really love this camera backpack and have used it as a carry on bag on a few trips now. The removable camera pouch is super convenient, especially when you have to cruise through airport security over and over again. Fits easily under airplane seats and easily into any overhead bin. The camera compartment is super secure - I took this bag into the desert and found sand had managed to sneak through every zipper except the one holding my camera. My one complaint is that it doesn't offer much in the way of back support and if you load it up with a ton of gear, laptop, and clothes in the roll top compartment, it can feel really heavy pretty quickly and pull on your shoulders. Overall though, love this backpack and would highly recommend it!

Perfect For Travel

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This pack is great for daily commuting and traveling with your camera. The rolltop is great for cramming jackets and last minute supplies. The side entry to the camera is key for quick access. The removable camera pod keeps everything safe. If you like having your camera with you, this is a great everyday pack.

The backpack that does everything

This bag does it all. Camera, laptop, packing, traveling, backpacking, school ... EVERYTHING. I needed one bag and camera compartment was important to me. Had no idea it did so much. I use it for overnight packs with the top compartment. You have a spot for every treasure you need to hold. It is super durable and very high quality. Best backpack and Thule is killing it right now in the bag compartment.

It's a big Meh.

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Love the overall design of the pack, but I'm just not sure if it's going to work for me. The actual camera pod is pretty small, and fits in to the pack through the left-side port shown in the main picture above. It's big enough to hold a single camera body, a couple of lenses, a flash and some accessories, but not much else. The roll top opens into a pouch above the camera pod, but you can't actually reach down to the camera pod from inside the main compartment. While there are lots of pockets and areas to stash items, but it doesn't feel super-intuitive as to what goes where. I may give it another try, but if I can find another pack I like better in the next week or so, this pack will likely be returned.

Love the style

This pack is awesome, holds everything I ever need on a photo adventure, or even as a carry on, on a plane ride. Holds a 15' mac along with a space for a tripod. The only thing I wish the pack had is hip straps, for more security and support when hiking, otherwise this is a great pack with lots of storage.

Great DSLR backpack!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought it from Amazon, because backcountry did not have this backpack at that time. It is a great backpack. it easily holds my Nikon D300 with 30mm lenses, 11-16 Tokina and 50 mm lenses. The top part provides sufficient room for light jackets, notebook, and other small stuff. Laptop and tablet are absolutely safe in the back. I have two Thule backpack, they are both study and well designed. This one is also stylish. The rolltop looks really cool.
