    Trail breakfast

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Excellent dehydrated breakfast. Looks really good before adding water, and tastes even better after. I got some "street taco" sized tortilla shells, topped with some cajun seasoning and made awesome breakfast burritos. Will definitely being using this one again.

    DIY Breakfast Burritos

I packed in a few flour tortillas for a recent trip and a little salsa and had myself some delicious breakfast burritos in the backountry! Everything tastes better when your outside!

      Best backcountry breakfast ever.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Beats the heck out of oatmeal or ramen. Of course this option is a bit more money, but the convenience, taste and extra energy from an actual meal is totally worth the cost.

      Pretty Good

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

to me, instant breakfast food usually tastes like cardboard that had been sitting in the rain for a couple hours. Surprisingly, this stuff is pretty good. Easy to make, pretty good flavor. Bring some pepper or salt maybe.

      Real Good

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I can't possibly bring myself to give any freeze dried eggs 5 stars, but this is about as good as it gets from what I have tried (there's also plenty I haven't tried). If you aren't overly concerned about weight, I'd recommend bringing some tortillas and either hot sauce or ketchup along. If you roll this up in there and make a burrito it's actually quite good.

One of the best backpacker meals

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Definitely one of the best meals I've had. Usually wary of breakfast meals because the eggs are never good, but i was pleasantly surprised by this one.

      Yummy Breakfast Burrito

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is the best breakfast Mountain House we have eaten. We take tortillas with us and make breakfast burritos with it. Soo good!!

      Good

This was a pretty good combination for breakfast. Something to keep in mind when buying meals is the "serving size". We found that the meals containing two servings were almost enough for one person. The single serving size meals left us very hungry. I'm sure if you were using these car camping they would be enough. But if you are hiking long distance/burning a ton of calories, you'll want to eat 3 about “servings”.

        good flavor!!!

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Was hesitant to eat the dehydrated food but everything I tried was good. Tried the spaghetti, breakfast skillet, granola with blueberries and milk, raspberry crumble, mexican chicken with rice. Will definitely buy more for camping and food storage.
