    A foundation of warmth.

At the core of every happy skier or snowboarder, there is a baselayer much like the Under Armour Men's Base 2.0 Hooded Top that's bound and determined to provide furnace-like fervor in the face of bitter cold conditions. The Base 2.0 features a 4-way stretch fabric that wicks away moisture and dries quickly, while the anti-odor treatment keeps weird funks at bay. Additionally, the flatlock seams discourage chafing, and the form-fitting construction enables easy layering.

    great gift amazing base layer

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

bought this for my brother who works construction up n park city the minute he felt the material his face lit up and was happy as heck to be getting something to keep him warm even tho it is thin, my brother was very thankful and grateful for the warmth during his winter season

    Incredible Baselayer

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Really diggin these Under Armour baselayer. I'm a Nike brand guy and never bought Under Armour till now and I have to say I'm Lovin It. So warm and comfy with out having to apply several layers! I have both the top and bottoms!

    Great baselayer!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 170lbs

I am 6' and 170lbs and I ordered a large. I have average width shoulders and the fit there is good. It fits to the skin but is not tight. The overall fit is a bit bigger than the size large for the UA base 4.0 crew neck. This is a great fitted baselayer that I usually wear underneath a t shirt and/or outer layer, but could be worn by itself. I have worn it while running and for general outdoor use in 20-40 degree weather and it provided good warmth. It breathes pretty well as your body heats up during a workout, so I don't find myself overheating, but it does not cut the wind particularly well, so if it is windy, I would recommend adding an outer layer or shell over it. The mask and hood are good, but if you have a thin head, you may find that the mask may slide down if you don't put it on just the right way, since there is no cinch-cord.

    Ideal under layer

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 165lbs

This top is the right amount of insulation for a lot of days. Under a shell jacket I can wear this alone down to around 28 degrees Fahrenheit. On colder days I'll add another layer over top for added insulation.

The fit is tight enough to keep you warm but not so tight you feel restricted. I love the hoodie and gaitor that are build in. On cold storm days this design is great.

    Beware Sizing!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 160lbs

I just ordered this item. I like it, but I thought I would get more of a compression fit. This base layer tends to fit a little looser, not exactly optimal for a warmth base layer. I LOVE the face/neck shield attached. This is really going to come in handy for me in low running temperatures. The face shield and hood work together to keep your head and face shielded from the elements. Definitely recommend, but purchase a size down if you want to have more of a skin tight fit.
