In other words, you can crank up the tension on your feet to keep them locked down, and tailor the tension up top to dial in your flex. Or vice versa, if that's how you roll. The Level 3 liner is highly supportive and heat moldable, so it feels broken in before you even get it on the hill. The stiff flex is supportive enough for hard charging riders to go from the park to the steeps, while the articulating cuff gives you some extra give for tweaking those grabs. There's external ankle support, for extra stability when you overshoot that big gap you've been looking at. The sole is a blend of hard-wearing rubber and STI foam, which keeps the weight down.
