Versatile protection for whatever the weather.

Whether you're out snowshoeing with the family or meandering around a wet and wintry city, The North Face Women's HighandDry Triclimate Jacket offers adaptive protection—which means you're not left out in the cold when embarking upon cool weather adventures. Furthermore, this jacket features a 3-in-1 design, meaning the shell and liner can be worn together or individually in more amenable weather conditions.

More specifically, the shell is fashioned with the waterproof, breathable DryVent material which protects you from precipitation of all shapes and sizes, while the 60-grams of synthetic Heatseeker insulation curbs the cold—so you don't have to forgo waterproof protection in favor of warmth. On the other hand, the fleece liner doubles down on furnace-like fervor, or can be worn on its lonesome come warmer weather. The myriad of pockets keep necessities close at hand, and the hood is adjustable for customized protection.

Pretty Great

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: xs
  • Height: 4'11"
  • Weight: 95lbs

I bought this jacket for a recent trip to Norway because I needed something that was rainproof and ideal for both warm and cool conditions. The waterproof aspect is absolutely great. My favorite part about the hood is that you can tighten it in the back and in the front to make sure that it doesn't fly back (tested on very windy boat). I absolutely LOVE the inner jacket. Not only is it super soft, but I felt like I could wear it around and not feel too dressed-down.

Unfortunately, there is a downfall. The jacket has no breathability and as the jacket is very warm and the sleeves of the inner jacket are very tight (you would not be able to wear a thick sweater or layers with it), I would get sweaty and it would be difficult to get the jacket off. I think if I were able to have the inner be a size small and the outer a size XS it would be perfect.

In any case, I would recommend this jacket and the cons do not outweigh the pros.

Great versatile jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small
  • Height: 5'8"
  • Weight: 125lbs

This is a versatile and great looking jacket. The liner inside is super soft and warm. The shell really keeps you dry even in pouring rain, and having the hood is fabulous. Put the two together and it's an awesome jacket! I am 5'8, 125 lbs and bought a small. It fits great and I have room to put a thermal layer underneath. I don't normally wear green, but the spruce color is really pretty. Love it!

Kept me warm and dry!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small
  • Height: 5'1"
  • Weight: 140lbs

Loved it! I wore it in rain and temperatures of about 50 which isn't crazy cold but it kept me completely warm and dry. It fit snug with only one layer underneath while wearing the inner shell so I would suggest one size up if wearing more layers than that. When I just wore the outer shell it fit perfect and still kept me warm.

Great coat

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: small
  • Height: 5'3"
  • Weight: 110lbs

I love this coat. It is extremely warm and I love the adjustable nature that allows you to block out wind. I have worn it in sub-freezing temperatures and been warm the entire time. The inner shell tends to be snug if wearing it over a lot of layers or larger clothing. For that reason, I would recommend getting a size up. Mine is snug when worn over a flannel or sweatshirt.

There is color difference.

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

The Quail Grey/Rabbit Grey on is much darker and less bright than the picture. Other than that, the size, the quality and the price are all very good!
