Why We Like The North Face Freedom Insulated Jacket
Whether we're zipping down open groomers, riding fresh trails through the trees, or bootpacking to find untouched lines, The North Face Freedom Insulated Jacket is up to the task. The burly DryVent membrane tanks through days when the snow won't quit, letting snow bead up and fall off long before it has a chance to soak us. The Heatseeker Eco insulation is light, warm, and made from recycled fibers that otherwise would wind up in landfills. The adjustable hood, hook-and-loop cuffs, and removable powder skirt all combine to block moisture from sneaking through to our baselayers, so we can keep riding no matter how wet the day gets.

Must have Women's Freedom Insulated Jacket!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Light-weight, but warm. Multiple zipper pockets throughout jacket offers a level of close body security allowing me not to carry purse. I love the zipper inter-vest in the jacket too. The hood is perfect, doubling as a scarf when I wear a hat.

I love North Face jackets!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually returned the Women's Freedom Jacket (it was too tight under my arms with a heavy sweater on ). But, I traded it in for the Men's Freedom Jacket which was much roomier for me. I am very pleased with it so far as for roominess when wearing a heavy sweater underneath. So far have only worn it in pouring rain & it held up really well. Unfortunately, since I just bought it recently, it hasn't gotten cold enough here in New England to test it in that type of weather. I'm sure it will handle the cold really well as my past jackets from the North Face have done. I'm very pleased with it.

Unflattering colorblocking
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the fit and warmth, and color pairing, but the tan stomach area of the jacket just ends up being unflattering. It made me look pregnant and I am far from it. The rear color choices are fine, but the front needs to be rethought. Otherwise, would've kept this jacket.

Kept me warm in the Arctic Circle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore this jacket to Finnish Lapland in February. I wore 2 other TNF layers and a sweater and this kept me warm in - 22 celsius cold weather with wind. It was perfect.

Would recommend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super cute! love the colors and pocket designs, only down side being extra velcro coming down the zipper, I have very long hair and it tends to get stuck and rip out.

Very, very long sleeves
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a short person, 5'1". My arm length is on the short side given my height. Some coat's sleeves run long, but usually only by an inch or 1.5 inches. The sleeves of this goes pass my fingertips by an additional 1+ inch. While returning, the salesperson said this jacket's sleeves is meant to go to mid-hand or base of fingers and cover the ski gloves well but not as long as how it fitted on me. Just not meant for me.
