    Giara Short-Sleeve Jersey

There's something inherently romantic about gravel riding. Maybe it's the idea of pushing down a road to nowhere, or exploring far off sights that are only seen by those with persistence and dedication, either way there's an element that reminds us of the wild west — finding a new frontier. The trouble is, with most kits crafted with elite cyclists or baggie-craving mtb beasts in mind, we struggle to find the ideal getup that matches our pace. Sportful gives a strong offering with the Giara Short-Sleeve Jersey that's crafted from temperature-regulating polyester that helps you stay cool on the steep gravel grinds, with a cut ideal for the drop bars, but with a touch more space than your team kit. Highlighted color streaks pop for greater reflectivity after the sun dips below the horizon. Seeing that functional storage is essential on longer tours and gravel grinds, you'll find three rear pockets in conjunction with a zippered security pocket.

    • Comfortable performance for the long-haul gravel grinds
    • Relaxed cut offers roominess for pedaling upright
    • Quick-drying polyester for regulation of temperature
    • Upper half with a soft heathered fabric for comfort
    • Streaks of reflective color boost reflectivity
    • Three rear pockets, zippered security pocket
    • Item #STF009K

    Great jersey

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Lots to love about this jersey. Nice color scheme (dry green), deep storage pockets, really comfortable fabric that moves with you. I did an XL (5'10" and 180 lbs), worked well. Not sure how it does in the peak of a hot summer but very comfortable so far.

    Sweet Jersey

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'3"
    • Weight: 180lbs

Sportful is great when it comes to quality to price ratio. The Giara line is a perfect example. This jersey is good quality, fits well, and doesn't hurt the bottom line.
Definitely a mid weight jersey, that would be best suited for Spring/Fall riding, might be sweating a bit if worn in the middle of summer. Pair this with a good baselayer and some armwarmers and you are set for early fall gravel or road rides.
Color options and matching to the other items from this line is great for us roadies that like to be matchy matchy.

I wear a large in PI, Giordana, Oakley, Rapha, to get a tight racy fit, and this fits along the same lines.

    Nice material; typical Asian sizing

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 187lbs

The jersey in among the nicest of the fabrics I've handled so far for this sport. It's not that 100% polyester sandpaper, or with 2% spandex. I don't know that I'd wear this lounging around the house, but it's a really big improvement in comfort. The muted color scheme is also nice versus the sometimes garish jerseys which are so common. What continues to drive me up the wall is the sizing is so far off it's frustrating and annoying and now getting expensive for returns. I'm going to stop buying cycling clothing online. I wear men's medium t-shirts, for example. And understand for cycling jerseys I need to size up to XL, at least. This particular shirt, even in size XL, I could hardly get past my bicep, and the zippered front barely came around the side of my body. At first this Asian sizing for cycle wear was frustrating; now it's annoying. Really wasting my time. Sellers need to wake up and put some thought into their product descriptions. I may as well purchase from my LBS and pay 25% more and save myself the aggravation.
